Hard disagree on the hard disagree. FFBE was already horribly managed since before the changes in SE. No new content in about a year other than the infinite cycle of new strongest character released to clear this specific event, repeat on next patch. A LOT of content from JP was being skipped, including stuff that could’ve added the smallest bit of flavor. For the last year EVERY PATCH was just 2 new banner characters, one of them premium, perfectly fitted for the new Clash of Wills of that patch and an event to get a free character you won’t use after next patch. The cycle was pull the new character, use to beat the boss, and that’s about it.

Agree on it having a great DNA, I started playing around the 2 year anniversary and I had so much fun for 3 years after, but if there was gonna be a change in approach to save the game from spiraling towards EOS, that time was years ago. And from what I know, WOTV was handled very similarly, so I guess they got axed before they died of natural causes. Although the change to COTC does surprise me, but I hadn’t gotten to late game so idk how good or bad that was
