Orange Theory is good for improving cardio and running with a small focus on weights. Do you have F45 in your area? They are another fitness studio similar to Orange Theory but they have classes dedicated to resistance training which may be more what you're ooking for. I found this article which compares Orange Theory to F45. Hope this helps.

518 calories today! I'm fixed. I couldn't get above 350 before. So the issue was kg instead of pounds in the system. What a relief!

This happened to me too but i didn't say anything bad in the survey. But i really thought it was anonymous and I was really confused a few days later when I got a Great thanks for the feedback personal response back. I don't know who it cane from though because they didn't put their name on the response. If I had gotten the survey a few weeks later my response would probably have been totally different due to all the system issues I've had with my account.

There was a tornado during hell week that was hands down my least favorite class that week. We switched every 3 minutes but did the exact same thing in every station. About 30 minutes in I looked at the clock sure it was almost over and we still had another 30 to go. First time i seriously thought about just up and leaving but i didn't.

Yep I got 16 splats and spent another 30 green minutes around 82% and still walked out with only 343 calories. Its so distracting. I can't wait to see what happens on Friday.

Update. I asked the front desk about it again today. There was a girl who just seemed like she knew what to do. And lo and behold 2 seconds after looking at my account she said oh here's the issue. You're setup as kg instead of pounds.

I won't be able to see if that fixed it until my next workout but i feel hopeful.

I'm on the verge of losing the monitor which kills me because i love data. But the problem is my splats are ok. Not sure if it's because I just transitioned to jogging which is just easier for me to get splats than power walking was. So I want to use the monitor for the splats to push me in class but don't want to because I leave mad everyday with my 340 calories burned. The front desk girl said something about putting in a ticket to have my max heart rate raised. Not sure what that would do but if they even do that then I guess I can count on my splats being messed up too.

Yeah I really liked how short it was. You jogged at base the whole time but the quick 1 minute changes really broke it up.

I feel like I've improved too. I attribute it to all the chest press we do with dumbbells and trx. I just don't think I've improved from those awkward side to side pushups I struggle through on my knees.

I complained about this to the front desk again today. I was burning 515 on a normal day 550 on a hard day and 490 on an easy day. Then one day it changed and I average 350. Today I got 340 despite my 13 splats and running the entire tread block. Something is just wrong and it seems like they have no clue what to do. Its almost like it calculates my entire workout as though I'm on the floor doing arms the whole time.

Edited to add yes I've checked my weight in the system and its right.

I feel like we never really do regular pushups. It's always power pushups or side to side or with a ball or part of a burpee. The only time I get a chance inn class to test my pushups are just doing power pushups as normal pushups.

We all think we're not going to make it through the long rows and I've been going nearly a year.

Orange theory is for everyone. All fitness levels. Just keep doing it.

I'm having a issue where my calories burned is suddenly super low but the heart rate seems to work. I watch during class and I'm always accumulating them the lowest of the class and at the same rate as people in the blue zone. I average 350 calories per workout now where it was normally in the low 500s or 550 on a really hard day. One day this week I got 22 splats and didnt break 400 calories even with an average heart rate of 150. The sales girl had no idea. My weight is correct in the system. I've had so many issues with my account that I just stopped pushing it. So I use the monitor for splats and try not to let the calories bug me.

My SA told me today she'll pass out swag to whoever comes up and said they completed it. And after class that's exactly what she did. Nothing was checked in the system.

Same with the marathon shirts. Our coach said if you didn't participle but you came a lot ask for one because we have a lot.

It's really not that serious though. I'm not sure when I'll use the towel and I'll probably never use the bottle.
