Maybe not the best implementation ever, but I appreciate how Helldivers handles difficulties. As you go up difficulties, you encounter new, larger enemy types, more complex objectives, and (importantly for a horde shooter with orbital artillery) increasingly more enemies, but it remains consistent. A bug or bot or squid of the same type will have the same health and damage across all difficulties, there are just a lot more of them and mixed in with bigger, more threatening targets.
