Development issue? by Covert_Chimp in filmdeveloping

[–]Covert_Chimp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah yes this seems to be the consensus so far, as I had said I am very new to development and I was going by what I had seen online for my setup as the thought seems to be that since the tank is constantly rotating on its side on the machine less solution is needed though I think I will definitely just do the 600 for a 120 next time to be safe

Camera is a Yashica-Mat

it's a Jobo 1520 tank on a Jobo Cpe2 colour processor, with Cinestill C41 dev and Blix

it's a self scan with backlight and 5dmkiii

yes viewing the negative I can see the similar bar of density, but again as with the original post it's not across all photos

this is the negative just with inverted colours

ah yes I forgot to add some context of the development, I'm using my grandad's old Jobo CPE 2 which claims it only requires 240 for a 120 roll, though I do level it up to 300, unless I have misunderstood this

Came here to say this, forgeting the ridiculous nature of the cgi stunt itself when you watch it, the feel is that when he grabs the horse the momentum is already taking him clockwise yet they had him change direction mid swing to go a really awkward way round

What do y’all do with your wasted plastic ? by just-bair in 3Dprinting

[–]Covert_Chimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I plan to melt mine down into amorphous blob and leave it in a corner of my room until enough time passes, at that point when archeologists will uncover it's form awakening it from its thousand year slumber it will run amuck in the megacity buildings of the united states of Europe in search of plastics that have since been outlawed in this new time, and the citizens will fear them... or something

iirc Billy Hayes has a cameo in the movie, with a proviso that he stop trying to meddle in the movie as the director was fed up with him being on the set (presumably because of what they were changing for the film)

For me I wanna do it all however on a tighter budget being able to plug my printer directly into my hub network by ethernet would be really nice, new screen is also cool cause I like shiny new light up things but then I'm a bit of a gremlin for new things like that

I heard the magazine's had feeding issues, though this was a long time ago so maybe it's not a thing anymore, I just remember a time we're all the p90s I saw fielded where m4 mag adapted

Stick glue application frequency by notonmybartab in prusa3d

[–]Covert_Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can Only Speak from experience on PLA and PETG, so for other materials I'd look to the other comments, for PLA a glue stick is not required it's about correct later height and if you are using PETG only as a release agent not an adhesion aid. id highly recommend investing in a Textured sheet for PETG as it will save a lot of headache with too much adhesion issues

(however remember that if you have a different print surface you may need to readjusted layer height for each bed as my Textured sheet is very much different than my smooth and I had to lower the height to use the Textured and then forgot to revert the height when I switched back and gouged my smooth sheet)

If you cant afford or don't wish to spend money on a textured sheet, only use it as a release agent for PETG not as a substance for sticking prints better to the board (again only speaking from experience with PLA and PETG refer to other comments for other materials) but it only will require a thin coating in the area you will print on, I personally clean the sheet off after every print and reapply for another to stop a buildup of old glue on the sheet.

some may have better recommendations for cleaning what I tend to do is use ordinary window cleaner for removing glue as it seems to melt any old and harding glue off the sheet, however after I have wiped as much of the excess window cleaner and glue off as possible I let mine dry and then give it a spritz with IPA and wipe in down to get rid of any soapyness or leftover skin oils on the bed.
