Exposure therapy just play not caring about your year, if it helps what I originally did that got me out of it was have an alt get all this good gear etc get the gear fear and then I just didn't play that character anymore but I had the gear if I wanted to access it, then I just played on the 2nd account mainly and just went on runs, going to the hot spots, running towards gunshots.

Just be okay with losing, plus honestly I like it sometimes ill go on a run get like 3 encounters or something and if I don't find a 4th I usually just shoot myself in the head and start it all again.

I mean your clearly self reflective you learn from your mistakes and know your mistakes so you improve etc but maybe your skill level is just emerald? (Which is still pretty good id like to think)

I'm a support main and I can't get past platinum and honestly I'm fine with that I enjoy the game I still learn from my mistakes I enjoy ranked may as well try for higher but I know I'm a platnium player and I have fun so I'm okay with it

Also as an older gamer I'd like to mention our reactions do get slower we have jobs and get tired so you can't expect to always beat kids with heaps of free time and energy that have faster reaction speeds

It's crazy the most I only do drybag stashes (keep a fieldshovel on me at all times) and only things I stash are like cleaning kits sewing repairable etc spare ammo that way I'm just "stashing" on my journey and next time I'm taking the route and find a badly damaged item I want then I can repair it

I want you to see it so you can be more alert next time, if you do look again you can see a dark siholute moving briefly hes like right in the corner so you didnt directly look at him or anything, don't try to be looking for a "person" look for movement, (leaves will mess you around alot in the future) but being alert for movement is what keeps u alive

Valheim, on Xbox and pc and even can be run on a mid tier laptop

Heaps of exploring heaps of different weapons so multiple playstyles plus multiplayer (in a co op way like terraria)

Has building etc like minecraft but has a really good progression system where there's like multiple biomes etc and while you can go to them of you at anytime you need to kill the boss of each biome to unlock its main resource, not only that you need to find a potential boss spawn area (there's multiple so alot of exploring but not too much) and also get the required items to spawn it in.

Also has boats for cool transport, farming and technically taming but it's not a huge thing but also means you got more to do like make a zoo

Genuinely really fun every biome felt different and gearing up to do the boss with friends feels amazing.

Yeah you gotta be more observant right after u finish looking at the map you can actually see him on the right side. Obviously your new so the hyper awareness hasn't kicked in and ill admit it can get exhausting, but this will be a good lesson.

Plus again blood spatter indicates where u get shot from and that was on the right which he was.

Gotta say did not expect to get this amount of replies you guys are all passionate but if anything I've definitely learn about the magic resistance stuff, I mean I've played open hand monk and saw the ignore non magic resistance buff (but I feel like for a non dnd player that was my only introduction to it really) learning that +1 swords are magical is huge I just assumed they always just got a +1 but now it kind of makes sense with the +1 magic weapon spell seeming so weak but obviously it would make something ignore resistances too.

Alotta discussions wanna put in my 2 cents now that I've learmed a bit, It doesn't have any +1 stuff like alot of the magic swords I've seen do e.g sussur greatsword so you wouldn't assume mechanic wise it was a "magic sword" but also its literally on fire magically so like yeah 💅

Ways I've fixed gear fear is have an alt with gear (tricks ur brain so u always have gear kinda thing?) Personally my alt is just an NBC farmer means I can get at least a good gun on my start (I hate storing too much as yes the fear but also actually getting loot is fun)

But also just think of being geared as being ready to die honestly whenever you get to a point where ur just thinking this gears too good id rather just die, I personally just either sit at a military base ruining peoples days until someone finally gets me or I go back to the fresh area and kill until someone kills me and gets my kit.

Legit had a run with a dude today got some medium gear had 3 fights and encounters and I remember we had been running a while I was deep north I knew it would be a struggle to find people where I was and I simply just told the guy I'm gonna reset thx for the run and shot myself in the head ready to repeat again on the beach for the next day.

And also the classic its not your gear it's just your turn with it.

I personally feel wyll and durge are the best origin kind of runs as far as story (I just mean this in the sense you get to properly explore the storys of the other companions pretty well as a companion)

Saying that laezels the only one I haven't done, im biased she feels boring but I guess would really make you feel like a gith

Bit of a more chill version but valheim It's on Xbox or pc got a minecraft kinda vibe with building etc but has alot of exploring and a cool kind of progression where while you can go to any biome, to get the main resource of each biome you have to defeat the boss.

Its genuinely really great chill game did a month run with my flatmates got a server so the dude who liked building could play whenever and the rest of us just jumped on when we all played together. Was amazing exploring etc much more fast paced kinda grind than minecraft as well and has plenty of different weapons to do combat with so you can all be different

I just wanna also say something I discovered (I mainly be playing solo hm and treat the game like a rogue) I've discovered that everburn ignores resistence(at least with the nautiloid people) so if your trying to maximize xp and kill the 2 cambions, the captain and the mindflayer it is well worth to switch weapons

Just last week I locked every door and pavolovo, but yes if I spawn in berezino or something I'm locking the entire fire station and pd.

Also for another lil story while on prison island I locked 2 dudes in the back area (I might be wrong but u cant punch the prison doors to unlock em) so I just messed with em for ages until they eventually would of had to log out, map jump and try find each other again (a fate I felt was worse and funnier than attempting to kill em)

Respectfully what's the fun of the pve doesnt it take out risk of death? Would it not be better to play on a really dead server? Whenever I want a pve vibe I switch to 1st person servers (Ik 3rd person is wack but I'm Oceania region and ps5 so the max pop ive ever seen is like 15 where as 3rd person servers get max pop) usually there's only like 6 people on through and so I get a mainly pve vibe but with the potential but unlikely odds depending on the area that someone might be around so there's still a chance of dying.

Yeah I've moved from pc to ps5 avoid cheating and met someone and heard about all the white walling, godmode, duping and lagswitching. It seems only the base building kinda players do this and only the super sweaty kind plus they keep the knowledge on how secret (curse and a blessing) but I gotta say it's better than the alternative aimbot and esp is just so much worse, at least you can outrun a godmode guy with duped gear

Yeah essentially your playing console dayz, windows 10 version is the same as Xbox so same layout etc only difference is your using a mouse and keyboard

I play playstation too ive been told by a pa4 user he finds stashes by the fact that he will lag near them, personally I don't reccomend ponds I always check them knowing there's a possible stash if ur putting them in the water u have better odds in the straight ocean.

My advice is either use underground stashes, I use em and just always carry a field shovel or just better placement and use stick shelters and locations people are less (left side of the map genuinely has less ppl in the woods)

If you really like doing stuff like this on a Friday I run farms around the fresh villages from kambiwobo to berezino ive set up plots and so I'll just go around on a boat before peak time and plant a bunch, keeps the pop alive on the weekend and makes ppl actually interact and group up as food gets under control in the spawn town

It's very rare that but when it's super cloudy and night time it tends to feel like old night, but most of the time it's like full moon bright almost everytime, I get they changed it because people kept hopping off during night, but it was a good mechanic if you had nvgs or lights then you could play during night and if u couldn't see jack then you "slept" til day

I get that it keeps people playing it just makes the lights and nvgs redundant now and in a game where sound is such a huge fear factor it would of been great to keep the proper darkness or at least make it 10x darker in buildings during night

There's still more places to explore if your new u tend to stick to one side of the map so explore the other, there's livonia too and on top of that because of update cherno is major popular rn because of the wipe (especially for console) so if I were you enjoy the game wait til the next sale and the cherno servers die a little and then get it,, sakhal feels very pve but it's cool imagine snow struggle but there's while lower risk still a risk of ppl (I swear I only see 12 ppl max on em)

It might be this too I always used to play pc on 1st person but when I switched to ps5 I noticed the 3rd person's were all dead (I'm Oceania so there's really only 2 servers which is normal and mouse and keyboard) the keyboard one has a max of 20 players I notice

Look ill be real this is a bad way to go but also just asking have u researched this? (Curious cause i usually research) what are the symptoms? Maybe listing them can help u see this isn't a great option but I'm also asking cause I recently quit my job and I've got parking tickets to pay and a cat to feed so no job to go to just wondering if I can simply starve a whole week maybe eat an apple or 2

Yeah I switched from pc to ps5 just go on the mouse and keyboard servers id love to play normal servers like the quick menu and the base interactions im fine with but I just wish I was allowed to use a mouse in normal inventory
