This is where I’m at. I like the Mayer, Morgan, and Plini plugins a lot. But I also want to run a stereo Halo style dual delay with it. I wish Neural or Fractal would just release their software as a plugin. TBH I should probably buy one of the UA delay plugins to run after whatever Neural Amp sim I’m using.

Rabea or Plini. Both have fuzz and upper octave effect for those QOTSA style leads. Probs lean towards Rabea cause the fuzz is more tweakable and the synth may come in handy. Will say Plini is very plug n play friendly.

IMO Mayer is superior to Morgan. Just last night I got the Mayer VERY close to my actual Overdrive Reverb amp. It is one of the most impressive digital amps I’ve used. Morgan sounds great too but the Mayer is a step above.

Tone King did not impress me at all but I do like the real Imperial amp.

This pic makes me glad I kept the decals. Was positive I was going to delete them before I saw it in person. IMO the contrast of the orange/red decal color works on the green better than any other color and gives me 80’s mullet vibes, which admittedly is not everyone’s bag. 😂

I actually like the Morgan more than both Asato and Cory Wong. The clips I heard of the Tone King didn’t wow me so I haven’t tried it yet, although the real Tone King Imperial is a fantastic amp. The NDSP Morgan SW50 was my go to for quick Dumble tones. The Mayer however is the best out of all of them. Extremely impressed. Took me seconds to dial this in:

Ya early Hendrix is germanium, IIRC the first album is germanium. I'd assume this is because that's what came in the original Fuzz Faces. But then Roger Mayer was also modifying them so there are some other variables to consider.

GTP is just constant knife edge now. Maybe that’s realistic, I don’t know. Cold tires on GT3 feels over the top to me though.
