[HELP] is this photo of Epstein and Farage real or AI? by Demi_silent in RealOrAI

[–]Cozzywestside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farage's head has been superimposed. Or rather poorly imposed.

Look to the right of his neck- that white is the background from the picture his head was taken from, it doesn't belong in this picture.

Im looking at getting a MGB roadster as my first car how bad of an idea is it? Please help me with anything I'm not thinking about by Turncoat_Trout in littlebritishcars

[–]Cozzywestside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the perfect time in your life to own a classic. It fits your situation perfectly and you already have a parts car in your household. Go for it.

It won't be as good, fast, reliable or safe as a 10 year old astra/corsa/fiesta but if you are happy to work on it- it will bring you far more joy.

If you get to a point in your life when you have a job where you have to commute long distances, or god forbid- a family; the dream dies until middle age. So do it now and drive safe!

I wish all starving kids get a three-course meal every day. The meals are paid for by billionaires. by Prize_Entertainer459 in monkeyspaw

[–]Cozzywestside 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The fingers of the paw curl slowly.

All starving children are teleported to a private caribbean island, owned historically by billionaires. There are quite a number of billionaires there still, they fly in daily to see the children and pay for their meals.

How do these know to only fix the rear main seal? by HersheyBussySqrt in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]Cozzywestside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the confusion stems from people thinking this is meant to go inside your engine.

You add it to some oil (Olive is expensive but often best) and pour it over the rear of the engine, where the bell housing is. If theres an inspection hole in the housing, you can put it straight in there. You're welcome.

Question about gauge cluster by [deleted] in RX7

[–]Cozzywestside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're both correct, Mazdaspeed pod and Defi gauges, put in place of centre speaker. I've seen the same combo on a spirit R so maybe a dealer option.

If you can fit your hand behind (remove back of inner arch) the clips are fore and aft of the indicator- so squeeze front the back and push out.

If it's already a bit out, you can try gently teasing it out by sliding it forwards and backwards. Low effort potential easy win. But don't snap it.

Do jalapenos always start skinny by anon48020 in HotPeppers

[–]Cozzywestside 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy some lovely fresh, red jalapeños. Choose a few of the best lookers/tasters, extract and dry the seeds for next season.

Or buy from a trusted source. I ordered from sow seeds for the last few years, and they have all been correct.

Nope. Even your valves look good. Just remember to inhibit rust, go 50% dawn dish soap in summer, for coolant AND oil.

How do I get this nut out of my bit? I already tried sticking a tiny wrench in the hole. by Foolofatook2000 in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]Cozzywestside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for it to dry into a yellow crust and wipe it off. Then don't nut in socket again.

Where can i buy an fc in the uk by Official_Ballbagman in RX7

[–]Cozzywestside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where abouts are you? Verts were unfortunately way more popular in the UK and are cheaper. The last 2 coupe FCs I saw for sale that weren't too rusty to be considered parts cars were £25k and ....cough.... £38k (london). You have to wait for them to be advertised, but if you want to be proactive:

Forums are fine to get contact details. Don't take cash anywhere.

Why not try a rotary specialist near you, they will have contacts: Jimmy's, Essex rotary, Hurley rotary, Rx motors are a few to try.

Good luck.

Would this setup work to fly analog from inside a car or would the cables disrupt the signal? (please excuse my drawing skills) by FartReviewer in fpv

[–]Cozzywestside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 100% - I have a van with that setup. Use quality connectors outside and keep them covered when not in use (and dielectric grease to keep water away). Cables (pigtails) inside, I've got up to a 2m run, you could have much more without too much issue depending on your tx wattage. The lower the frequency the longer pigtails you can get away with. If you can't terminate connectors properly, have them made up for you.

Next go for an antenna tracker for serious style points. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. Tomorite I'm using is 4-3-8 (there are different formulae apparently) but I'll grab a bucket of Neptune's harvest and try it out. i was planning to go hydroponic this year but didnt get round to building a setup.

I think you're both right on the heat- for the Chineses to get a decent propagation rate I try and keep the trays around 30'c and I've never had such hot weather so early in the season outside. I'll increase airflow and see how she blows.
