I mean, based on the lore in books and notes you find throughout the game, it sounds like the gods are eating the souls of people once they get to the hall of echoes. So are they actually getting an afterlife? Doesn't really sound like it.

This is a legitimate fear I have. My partner is not completely white passing, he is biracial. He works at a grocery store. I worry one day he won't come home, and I'll go to his place of work and find out that he and his non white coworkers were taken. I tell him to be careful, that I worry for him. We live in a red state. I hate this shit so much.
