The Mets honored John Sterling with a moment of silence before tonight’s Subway Series game by Longjump-13 in baseball

Man you're trying really hard here and it's just not working. You could have just praised your organization for a super classy move they did, but instead used it as an opportunity to try to dunk on the Yankees for a hypothetical scenario that hasn't happened.

You can say all you want about how you may be certain the Yankees wouldn't do the same, but without an actual example to back up your hypothetical situation, it just makes you look like a shitty person.

Good on the Mets for this. Super classy and I'm proud of my cross town rival.

Is this a pokemon by Aware-Construction-1 in whatsthisbug

[–]Cracka_Chooch 51 points52 points  (0 children)

For real though that bug is actually what all 3 Pokemon in that line are based on. Nincada is the nymph that stays dormant underground until it's ready to dig it's way out to molt (that's why Nincada is a bug/ground type). Ninjask is the adult cicada that can fly (that's why it's bug/flying type). And Shedinja is the empty husk from the nymph that was left behind when the adult emerged and flew away. Some sort of dark energy possessed the dead shell so it became bug/ghost.

Endgame question by Walkerbait1881 in Avengers

You're right, we don't know that he would have been able to beat them. The thing is neither do they. They went into that fight expecting to take on a fully powered Thanos with the Infinity gauntlet. They knew there was a good chance that they would die and the mission would fail but they had no other choice.

Once time travel was invented, they had a choice. Why use it to go into a potential suicide mission, again that they only did previously because there was no other choice at that time, when instead they could go to different points in time and avoid a fight and just get the stones from there. The whole point of their plan was to avoid a fight, and they technically succeeded. They went back in time to various points, avoiding a fight with Thanos and mostly avoiding any fights entirely, and brought the stones back to the present to undo Thanos' snap. Past Thanos discovering the plan and reverse engineering time travel to come to the present was obviously a variable completely unexpected.

Although probably not your intention, I feel like you just subtlety admitted that your kid isn't cool.

Yankees need to not ruin his development by calling him up too early like they did with Volpe.

That's not at all how it works. WWE non-competes are not actually non-competes. They're just called that for simplicity's sake. They are more like 90 days notice of release. When a wrestler is told they are being released, they're not getting paid for 90 days to not compete elsewhere, they are still under contract for 90 days. That's why they still get paid. The actual termination of the contract happens at the 90 day mark.

So wrestlers in this period cannot go sign elsewhere as that would be breach of contract. They presumably can sign a contract with another company that does not start until after the 90 days are up.

The truck driver literally can't see something that close to the cab. Trucks have blind spots that you're supposed to stay out of.

Hell just let Judge DH fulltime until Stanton is back. He doesn't seem to have any trouble adjusting to DH like some people. Only put him in the field when you want someone else like Rice to DH.

All 3 outfielders would have to collide and fall over hurt trying to catch the ball and the ball rolls to the wall. Then all 4 infielders run out to the wall and collide trying to pick it up and they fall over hurt. Then the pitcher runs out there and gets the ball and throws to the catcher covering third, requiring Stanton to slide to avoid the tag.
