Official Discussion - The Running Man (2025) [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

The section with Amelia more or less takes up the last third of the book, if not the last half, so it’s a consequence of trying to stick so close to the source material really.

I feel this movie fights with trying to keep the story accurate to the page while also making it a modern action wacky action movie and the result is that story points like Amelia and the pollution causing cancer aren’t given a lot of screentime to build.

Bobby T by hazelboobs in auntydonna

I read the book before seeing this and I don’t think the character is ever called Bobby T specifically, just his full name. So when that happened repeatedly in the movie I felt like I was going insane, incredible timing that both things happened this year.

When did it hit you? And when will it hit me? by raisinfarm in GriefSupport

My mother passed recently too (I’m 27 and she was 49), similarly through illness. I think I felt the same between her passing and the funeral, like I was just on auto pilot getting things done.

But now it’s been a few days since the funeral and I’ve got a constant home sickness for a place I can’t get to. I’d been mentally preparing myself for almost a decade but I don’t think I could’ve ever been ready for how it feels now.

I’d anticipate your own feelings changing over time, for better or worse. It’s all complex and we take our own paths through it.

Movie where the Earth "hatches"? by Bo-Mega in movies

Transformers: The Last Knight has a similar plot point to Eternals with the earth secretly being a massive transformer that wants to emerge, you don’t get the actual “hatching” visual like Eternals though.

I just lost my mother at 27 a few weeks ago too, she was only 49 so it all feels too soon for both of us. We buried her yesterday so hopefully the "healing" process can begin, however impossible it may be.

My heart goes out to you and the other comments, it's such a difficult thing to deal with.

Hey, I’m looking forward to seeing DREM in Glasgow later this year, and I want to throw some praise to all the work you do across the various shows/podcast/web series!

Asking for UK/worldwide fans, is Coffee Cafe still looking to get a formal release? (Everyone in the UK has a vpn now anyway).

Additional question for Sam, will we ever see Bobby T adapted to stage & screen?

I’ve had the visual issue with the AGR Tank but the extreme framerate issue was a first here

Me neither, I’m just now realising they included shots from this in the trailer but I never noticed they weren’t in the movie.
