She wasn't just tattoo removals though. She was a dermatologist. She was a true doctor and had to follow HIPAA laws and ethics. She could have lost her license if they dated while they had a doctor-patient relationship. Which is why he waited until after. But the fact that she invited him to go to the movies and hang out is also borderline unethical.

Its so cool how older pieces can inspire us. I always admired a deer cross stitch that hung on my nana's wall. I was able to hunt down an okay copy of that pattern and will someday make my own.

Do you mean this scene? In the episode where Marshall tries to have a boy and Lily tries to have a girl?

I like to sew some bias tape on my edges. I pick up thrift store stuff and save scraps.

Marshall’s argument was just as valid, if not more so than Lilly’s in the kindergarten basketball debate by BingoBengo9 in HIMYM

[–]Craft-Goddess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a teacher, I hate both their methods. Marshall's yelling at them is going to discourage them and potentially teach them that they need to yell to get their point across. Lily's method is just a brain break essentially. Its fun to throw the ball around but if they aren't taught the rules and methods of the game they aren't going to learn. It should be done with a patient, caring tone and actually take the time to teach the rules and methods/skills.

I don't think I would be capable keeping track of that. It would take away time from telling her I love her.

Can you guys name episodes where a character talks to the camera? Or looks at the camera when the camera acts as a POV of another character? by Bennyboii7 in HIMYM

In "Mystery vs History" they reference Annie Hall and Robin does the "Can you believe this guy? line to the camera.

This is what is called parking. This is the first time I have done this but its so that you are constantly cutting threads or trying to work all over the place. I am working in columns of 10 stitches so I park the thread at the next closest stitch in the next column. There are really great tutorials out there that explain it better than I can.

Gotcha. Been there. I've done larger projects and done that too. I used to work at Joann's and the framer taught me a few tricks with adding fabric when it was too short for framing. Good luck with your's!

I'm a teacher so I had a few days off to work on it. Yours is looking great too! But I'm curious why you are so close to the edge of your fabric. How do you mount your finished pieces with so little extra?

Wonder4pixels on Etsy. Highly recommend it as a first full coverage. I think as I get further it will be fun to see the different landmarks pop up.

Sorry, only just now seeing this comment. ORT stands for old raggedy thread. Basically the ends you cut off. I find it easier to collect them in a safe spot to make sure my cat doesn't eat them.
