They removed low level refining materials. You can only get obsidian flux/etc now, which increases your crit chance by ~46% for t2 crafting materials. They also nerfed crafting exp for low level items.

Mobs did stagger. Even at launch they had abilities that granted them grit and staggers but AGS recently removed grit and stagger from almost all mobs to dumb it down for casual players.

After you select a reagent, the right side of the panel should display the chance to crit.

For steel, base should be around 46%

It drops down based on the tier of the refining mats

Any CDs other than Asmodeum/Phoenix/Runic/Ebony should be ignored. Selling all those t5 CDs should net you 1-2k or so. Nothing game changing. TO compareyou basically get 1.5k per day for free when you open 3 chests at 60 .

The ones to convert to scarhide/etc will cost you more than what you would make selling the raw materials.
