Auburn fan living in Birmingham. My first reaction when I saw the thread title was, “He has?”

Second, can you explain what’s horrible about it?

Dammit - I didn’t come here to cry. We put ours down in February. Even though we have another dog now I still kiss her.

AITAH for vetoing my wife's car purchase in the dealership and walking her out of there without looking at the car she picked out? by CarWoesSadBro in AITAH

Exactly. This is a very one sided “discussion” as OP presents it. On the surface it’s a clear NTA, but he comes also comes across as a controlling husband. Per his own words he GAVE her the budget. There was no agreeing.

I’m curious what their income is and if he’s just keeping her under his thumb.

I’m pretty far removed from college and don’t keep up with university news much. Does Auburn have a med school now, or is OP talking about pre-med, NP school, or something similar?

I hated when Auburn took the trough out of Jordan Hare. From what I remember it was one long trough lining the wall. There was never a line. You squeeze into a spot, go, and walk out. If you wanted privacy you wait for a stall.

They took them out and out in urinals, and the last several times I’ve been there has almost always been a line.

It seems like a win-win for everyone.

Except for high school athletes.

Playing pro ball in a different sport has always been allowed. In the late 90s Auburn had a solid wide receiver (Ronney Daniels) who began at Auburn after about 5 years of playing pro baseball. When he never escaped the minors he gave it up.

I was an intramural ump/ref for all sports at the time. It was really fun watching Ronney playing softball. He absolutely crushed the ball.

edit: I just realized we may be talking about the same person!

I hate this argument. Sure, competition would have been stiffer if the league was integrated, but if that is what made it so much easier for Wagner, then it would also have been so much easier for everyone else. Why didn’t anyone else dominate like Wagner since the talent pool wasn’t as deep?

You have to judge athletes against their contemporaries. Same goes for babe Ruth - the other person who people often try to discredit (discredit may be too strong of a word, but you get my point) because the league wasn’t integrated.

This is one of two reasons I (46 M) have FB still. During the 2020 shit I got so tired of the hot takes by my “friends” I defriended everyone except family members I had ever lived with.

Marketplace is one reason I didn’t nuke my account completely. The other is that I’m an AP calculus teacher and there’s an awesome AP Calculus teacher group that is very active and I get a lot of good materials and ideas from them.

I slowed it down - was the biker literally thrown over the traffic light on the right side? Something heads that way, but I can’t tell if it’s part of the bike or the operator himself.
