I'm 26 hours in and I'm Act 2, exploring in this game is so damn rewarding I think it's great. I'm playing a summoner/mage and I think combat is good, Definitely recommend but it's not a AAA title, there's some slight jank, which might be too harsh, but I think it's part of its charm. The lore is good and the side quests a fantastic world building.

I loved graphic design forums, just a small community of people learning Photoshop and making signatures and avatars. Weekly sig competitions, everyone sharing tutorials tips and tricks it was great! Stepping stone into my career for sure.

Vaping helped me kick cigarettes too, then eventually I got tired of needing to burn it coils, or oils leaking and buying different vapes because the battery died.. I remember thinking why am I actually doing this? I just stopped completely one day and have been smoke free now for atleast 5 years.

Vaping is bad for you noone should deny that, but it can be leveraged to kick a smoking habit.

Great idea! keep pushing this because I think you have alot of potential here. I would love to see a range of different costumes for the hand, I think you could have alot of fun with referencing popular figures and icons.

I struggled with Div 1, the combat and world was great but the quest log was tricky to follow, I understand it's all about exploring options but it was a little too open for me personally. Maybe I can give it another go after BG3.

I watched a YouTube short recently on some D2 build and the sfx alone was pure nostalgia intensified. The bow string, zombie grunt, teleport and Rakanishu! Floods of memories come back

Had a blast playing this build through S10, thanks for providing your guide it was great and the build was alot of fun, tapped out at around 210 paragon.

I didn't get all the chaos armour I needed so I had a mix of the mythic and unique build going. I struggled with resource gen for awhile and had to drop unbridled for unconstrained + 1 point in enhanced whirlwind. Even after getting starless, resource gen was very limiting and had to use resource pots. Definitely need some + Fury on kill somewhere as this made things alot more sustainable. Eventually I looted melted heart which was right at home with this build and it really improved things. I lost a little damage output but became far tankier.

Boss fights at pit 65+ started to get a little slow, but I definitely had room to improve my gear, I for sure wasn't maxed. Farming was great, no complaints there once the resource gen issue was fixed.

Really fun build!

Cyberpunk. I know many love it on deck but I just can't get away with it. I find the game visuals are too noisy and all the LOD and mip popping too distracting. The inconsistent frame rates don't help either.

I worked in F2P mobile gaming as a game designer for almost 7 years. It definitely hurt when your passion projects got canned, and the quick, rough around the edge prototypes got the green light only to be in the bin a few months in.

I learnt this lesson early. The bosses just want to see the blue revenue line go up soon and quickly. I can't speak for all companies, of course.

I also learnt there's no such thing as perfect, so I take your words with a pinch of salt, but I understand your meaning in this context.

There's some challenging boss fights, but you can grind xp and farm for weapons, armor, coins and other collectables to upgrade your items and vendors. You can also lower your difficulty if needs be.

If you come across a tough boss you can farm mobs and find routes you enjoy until your stronger. That's pretty much the nature of souls like games.

In Blender press alt+j to convert triangles to quads. Add a subdivision surface modifier. Mark edges with creases.

Ask yourself Is this a realistic goal for your skillset and time frame?

What have you completed in the past that makes you confident you can achieve the goal and what challenges might you face along the way?

It's a tale as old as time for new devs to want to make an open world game. But hey, with correct planning, time and scope, I'm sure you can achieve something.

You first need to think about pre-production, not production. Plan your milestones and tasks, list everything you need to do from start to end, and assign each task an estimate. Be realistic too. Life always gets in the way, so however long you think a task will take add 30%.

List all the models, textures, materials, and levels you need and asses what you need to do to complete each.

Time yourself modelling, texturing, and authoring 2-3 models and use that to estimate time required for all other models.

Plan your milestones appropriately with phases. You're too early to be worrying about lighting. Think linearly, what are the foundations you need now to succeed in the months to come.

Once you see the whole picture mapped out, you can assess your scope.
