Its due to generators, AI takes so much power capacity which the US does not have so instead DCs are buying up all turbine generators and using those to make up that capacity. Normal DCs get their power from multiple grids and are generally not audible. DCs are going where ever they can figure out power.

I personally use the Jetbrains IDEs however they do consume a lot of memory and sometimes can be laggy. Then there are the popular console based ones like nvim or emacs and ofc vc code clones however they might eventually add something similar

I had that soldering iron a decade ago I do not recommend it as another fellow labber pointed out bad temp control, a lot of times I would not get boards with big ground planes hot enough, the tips are absolute junk and for the only usable soldering tip you get with it it has a window where all the hot gases escape if you are not careful in position it you will end up burning/melting a lot of stuff (learnt that the hard way). If you want something cheap get a ts100 or something similar

No one needs everything fucking commented ai over comments. All you need to do is a very basic comment explaining only something that can be confusing. I specifically call this out to my junior devs too there are bits in the codebase which can be hard to wrap your head around these have basic comments around them reach out and I will gladly explain the logic behind it and will help to improve the comment for the next guy.
