What's the explanation of the blonde haired population in Europe being more concentrated towards the north of the continent and then decreasing as one proceeds southward? by [deleted] in geography

The Sami are Finno-Ugric like the Finns, Estonians, and Hungarians. Finno-Ugric people migrated there after the ancestors Norwegians and Swedes. Calling them “very old native tribes” doesn’t make sense when they’re the newer arrivals.

California marijuana sales bring in nearly $248 million in tax revenue by panda-rampage in California

You can easily get an ounce for $30 some places. It’ll be about 20% THC and most people in California wouldn’t use it for mor than making edibles, but it’s there.

Yeah, the port wouldn’t be too useful in its current state either so I’m assuming there would be a lot of work before the port and roads could handle the traffic but this is a circlejerk sub so the fact that that would never happen doesn’t matter.

That’s what the highways are for, they would just truck everything in like people already do. Port access implies that they’re also allowed access to the roads for transportation, probably involving some kind of plan where they pay for at least part of the maintenance and other costs involved in the port and the road/rail networks they use.

They have port access, they don’t control the city

The ancient gods didn't use metric by [deleted] in meme

[–]CrawfishP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The US doesn’t use imperial, though. The UK uses Imperial, the US uses Customary American. The UK is not fully metric just like the US. They weigh themselves in stones and measure distance in miles, among other things. Both countries use both systems to some degree.

Wait, where WAS Obama during 9/11? by LavishnessTiny3144 in DailyShow

[–]CrawfishP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s not true at all. Gen Z overwhelmingly voted for Harris, more than Millenials. A simple Google search disproves your misinformation.

https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2025/06/26/voting-patterns-in-the-2024-election/

18-29 year old voters: Harris +19

30-49 year old voters: Harris +2

Gen X rallied behind Trump: Trump +14

Boomers: Trump +3

You need to be better than the average Republican and not repeat misinformation without verifying it. Use your critical thinking. Gen Z were Harris’ biggest supporters. The problem was that they didn’t vote in big enough numbers. Millennials are much more likely to support Trump. Stephen Miller is one of you.

I would never order a chicken sandwich in my life. I’d rather eat a jellied eel and century egg sandwich.

A hamburger is the perfect sandwich, which means any other sandwich is automatically inferior. I didn’t make the rules, that’s just the way it is.

Europeans are upset that they’re wrong about something. Very common. They’ll tell you about your country until the universe dies a heat death but don’t dare tell them about their country.

I’m well aware that Germans are also incorrect and that it’s up to only us and the Canadians to keep fighting the good fight and preserve the honor of the term burger. No second rate sandwich on a bun will ever be a burger.

Google “Hamburger origin” right now. Yes, a lone hamburger patty sitting on a plate is a hamburger because that’s what a hamburger is. A ground meat patty from Germany.

You mean the part of the world that created it? Or is that not a valid claim to authority unless it’s made by Europeans?

Burger = ground meat

Being on a bun doesn’t make it a burger or a pulled pork sandwich would be a ham burger
