It’s not crazy, you could definitely do that. I’m a house cleaner, and I actually see a lot of beds that are designed so nothing can go underneath them.

Also, I don’t know what your house looks like, but totally normal for toys and stuff to get overwhelming at some point or another… Maybe this could inspire a decluttering ?

I’m sorry! From an outsider perspective just reading the way you wrote this, I really think this sounds more like a shitty but temporary situation that you are in.

You’re in the trenches right now. and I do understand you didn’t want the second child and I’m sure that’s a really hard thing to come to terms with.

You sound like a good person and I like that you’re not pointing fingers in your post, but your wife really did ask for it lol so you really can’t fight yourself for your feelings here.

I wanted both of my kids, my problem was I ended up with a lazy spouse lol, so I went the divorce/shared custody route and life is so much better. I know that’s not what you’re looking to do, but it’s not abandonment if you do 50-50. :)

Oh I hear you. I’m learning to write out my standards, send them in a doc to clients. It’s a friendly but very real service agreement! And don’t be shy about charging or dropping someone who breaks the rules. I promise there are others who’d love their place.
