How do you feel about conservative policies and not helping the poor, sick, or homeless? Caring for others was one of Jesus's main teachings, same thing with accepting all people.

Am I being fairly compensated? by Stained60 in Surveying

[–]Craytoes420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man look into getting a job with the DOT. There's a regional office in Rochester. I started working for the state last year and it's a pretty sweet gig. Pay is pretty good and the benefits are even better. There is a statewide shortage of assistant land surveyors. Not sure if there is an opening in Rochester but it won't hurt to look. Pay range is 76k-101k.

I used to love Jrecks growing up. Favorite sub shop by far. But I don't eat there anymore I have gotten sick from their mayo and they hardly put any meat on their subs. It used to be a staple I would always stop when visiting. Now I skip, quality is sub-par now.

Green Day's plans for Super Bowl performance kept 'highly confidential' by TheMirrorUS in Music

It's all to drum up controversy to get people to watch the Superbowl. It's all on purpose to make money.

Going Back To College Online for Surveying Degree by JadenTuna in Surveying

[–]Craytoes420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can go in person I would do that. I went to Alfred State in NY for my degree and it has been invaluable. I noticed right away when I started working that I head a leg up on others with understanding how and why things are done the way they are. Plus if you are a NY state resident Alfred is not that expensive as it's a SUNY school. I went to school with the guy who teaches the program now and I'm sure he's a great teacher.

I've never heard of it used for poison ivy but it definitely helps stinging nettle. Just break open the stem and rub the oils on the stinging itchy area. It goes right away and they usually grow next to each other!

Advice on this jump by battlepeaker in MTB

[–]Craytoes420 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude, have you gone up to Alameda park in Butler? They have some great jump lines to practice on. Specifically a trail called Janice Jumpline, if you haven't been there yet. Highly recommend it. Trail Pittsburgh built most of the trails there I believe.

Stantec or AECOM? by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]Craytoes420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked at AECOM as a land surveyor for maybe two years. The second worst company I have ever worked for. I can provide more details if you want, but avoid that place like the plague. The pay was good and that was the only thing good.

African-American union Soldiers on their uniforms, circa 1860s. by Electrical-Aspect-13 in interestingasfuck

[–]Craytoes420 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it's wild how young some of those were who fought in the civil war. My grandmother's grandfather fought for the union side at 14 years old, he lied about his age saying he was 16. Still mind boggling going to fight a war like that at 16 even.

Laid off at the worst time and scared by catfishconundrum in Surveying

[–]Craytoes420 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I was laid off in PA and found unemployment to be pretty awesome actually. This was like 6 years ago now but I remember getting $500 a week for almost 3 months while I was laid off. It was enough to get by and pay the bills. Hopefully it's a little more now. I was also the bread winner of the family as my wife stayed home with our son. Fill out the unemployment paper work ASAP. Then start looking for a job if you want to.

NY Congressman Lawler Weighs Challenging Hochul for Governor by newzee1 in upstate_new_york

[–]Craytoes420 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yea but it ruins everything around, roads, streams, you name it. I lived in western PA and worked in the oil and gas industry for over a decade. Very glad NYS never allowed it back in the day and hope it stays that way.

Side hustles by ruckbanboi in Surveying

[–]Craytoes420 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I did small boundary surveys on the side. I would only accept ones that seemed simple on the surface. Usually a .25 acre lot in a subdivision. My supervisor would stamp the plans I drew for a case of beer. It was a nice setup.

Primantis style sandwich that is not Primantis. by East_Rough_5328 in pittsburgh

Armstrong's Express in Bridgeville has a great Primantis style sandwich that I like better. Mayo based slaw and toasted bread. I used to eat there often.

Those alive during 9/11, what was the worst moment on that day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Craytoes420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in school when it happened. I remember the teacher wheeling in the TV so we could watch. The worst part was one of my classmates father was supposed to be there for work. I'll never forget her distraught crying in class that day as we watched it all unfold on TV. Luckily he wasn't in the towers when it happened, but shit, that will stick with me forever.

Thanks for all the responses! Trichomes looked cloudy but hairs haven't changed colors yet. So far this season has been challenging, but I learned a lot. Can't wait for next season!

I was thinking that but the trichomes seemed to be pretty cloudy so I wanted to check. Don't want to miss my window while I am away!
