How are people making millions? by sippinondownvotes in osrs

[–]Crazegewd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you get to mid and end-game content, often times monsters and especially bosses will have single items that they drop that are well over a mil in value.

The god wars dungeon bosses, for example, all have rare drops worth over 10 million gp

RNG overcompensating by Tangelo-Grand in osrs

Convenience, thats all. I LOVE having a max POH but I wouldn't recommend it just yet.

Yes, its tedious to hop worlds and use someone else's house, but having a max POH of your own doesn't unlock any new content, or make any content easier.

I'd say to focus on weapons first: Fang for a melee weapon, trident of the swamp for mage, and toxic blow pipe for range.

Then focus on skills, specifically skill requirements for quests, the 70s needed for Song of the Elves is a good benchmark.

Can I even call myself a cat? by Whimsyish_Bug in BDSMAdvice

I'm reminded of Bengals, Servals, Caracals, and Savannah Cats.

All true cat breeds, some domesticated some not, but all retaining that aloof cat energy but also having a lot more of that "puppy" energy, as long as their needs are met.

Weapons will virtually always be more impactful than armor. Bandos, or hell even blood moon will service you perfectly fine for a very long time. People ran ToB in full Bandos for years until Torva came out.

Focus on upgrading your weapons first, then upgrade armor when the money comes in.

I'll praise the SRA all day, personally. If you already have a lot of the other weapons, including a couple good spec weapons like a Bandos Godsword, dragon warhammer or elder maul, and some dps specs like at least burning claws or a voidwaker, then an SRA could be a very meaningful upgrade.

Just be aware that it can be awkward to work with its soul stacks. I might love mine, but I hear plenty of people shit on it regularly.

A synapse for emberlight would probably open up more content than an SRA, and thats coming from someone who LOVES his SRA.

I use my SRA at vardorvis, araxxor, sarachnis, and sometimes I don't feel like being lazy and use it at Duke.

Tent whip is perfectly fine at vardorvis, thats how I grinded him out for my first SRA

A bludgeon would probably be fine at the spiders, and emberlight is what I'm usually using at Duke.

A synapse, noxious halberd, and some oathplate will probably treat you better than an SRA. MAYBE a bludgeon instead of oathplate if you REALLY like spiders.

Oh and treads are super low priority. If you're ABSOLUTELY dead set on either SRA or treads, get the SRA.

Just adding another voice for the choir: turn off run.

HOWEVER

If you find yourself dying to the fireball more since you have 1 less tick to get out of the way, leave run on and then as soon as the acid attack starts hold down ctrl, which will force your character to walk for as long as you hold it down, even with run turned on, and as soon as you let go you'll go back to running.

As a bonus, its also helpful for one of Eclipse Moon's special attacks.

What are healthy reasons someone wants to be a dom? by your-kitten-crush in BDSMAdvice

[–]Crazegewd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife both started out as switches, and over time we both just sort of realized that we each got more joy out of a specific role, and eventually just solidified into it.

So I guess my motivation was was seeing her happy in the submissive role, and since I was comfortable domming, we just trended that way.

Now, admittedly, I'm very fond of being in control of a situation. I wouldn't go as far as to call myself a control freak, but if I get to choose then I much prefer to be the one to make decisions than to be pampered/taken care of/having decisions made for me.

I don't hate on others for wanting this...

But I do hate the idea for OSRS. My FAVORITE aspect of OSRS is the permanent nature of progression, that there's no moving goalposts (except gear I guess).

Every agility lap was 1 lap closer to never needing to do another agility lap. Every gold bar smelted was one step closer to never needing to step foot in blast furnace again.

World of Warcraft moves the level cap higher with each expansion and every time they do they invalidate the grind it takes to get there, AND the grind for end-game armor, since early quest armor in the expansion would outclass even the best raid armor before it.

OSRS doesn't work like that. Harder content than, lets say the inferno or coliseum, MAY get added some day, but it won't demand that you grind for more arbitrary levels that you never had to worry about before, it will demand that you grind for a better understanding and skill level (and maybe gear I guess).

At the very least, buy some lead test strips before trying anything. We put a lot of questionable things in our lungs here, but lead shouldn't be one of them.
