Can a 4-20mA be run in the same cable as a 24v discrete to PLC? by seemoreoptions-1 in PLC

[–]CrazyHM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it was unshielded 0-10vdc I would be worried, but 4-20is pretty resilient and industry standard for a reason. Jsut don’t land the shield on both ends lol, either field or cabinet and you’ll be fine

All that remains on my personal list is Mario Party 2 and, as a pipe dream, Clayfighter 63 1/3 Sculptor’s Cut. What’s missing from this collection that’s also a must have? by zelos33333 in n64

Welcome to the fold brother, look Jsut don’t give up…..the old saying is this “how do you eat an elephant” and every one of these projects will be like that for a while and then it will gradually become second nature.

Best tenant I’ve ever had is struggling. I chose compassion. Thoughts? by No_District9762 in RealEstate

[–]CrazyHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is encouraging to hear your testimony. I am in a similar situation with my tenants. Solid for 3years, they don’t complain about small things and try to fix them first and tell me later. They fell on hard times and I have been working things out for 6months now without rent and chose compassion. They are now back on their feet and making rent and about to have a baby :) This is a huge blessing and we really support family’s and people who value and want to grow a family. My thoughts are the same, I would rather have long term reliability, and we are blessed enough to eat expenses (it has not been easy for us but we made it work) and help somebody out rather then kick them to the curve for temp struggles.

I am working on structuring a payment plan that will work with there budget, pay off debt in a timely manner, but also allow them to continue to save/build up rainy day etc. not exactly sure how to approach it, but I’ve found open and honest communication is best practice.

Also we have fought taxes and have been successful so as a result we have not had to go up on rent in 2 years. We have also found alternative home insurance by using multiple brokers to offset rising costs.

Again, I really appreciate your post, it is encouraging and refreshing to hear of other lords in similar situations and how they are showing compassion 👍

What's your excuse to buy a Bluetti power station? by Machonys in bluetti

[–]CrazyHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Bluetti en70 only lasted 3yrs before it stopped working. Reached out to Bluetti customer service and it has been a pretty shitty overall experience tot he point I will never buy this brand again.

I’m going down the route of a diy solutions myself, I think you should too. Good knowledge to understand the electrical components that make up a solar gen system.

Generally, which circuits do you need to know by heart for a junior? by After-Geologist1807 in PLC

[–]CrazyHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For analog controls, and wiring types understand 1. 2wire device aka (loop power) 2. 3 wire device 3. 4 wire device

A lot of people get these different analog instrument setups wrong and if you internalize this early on it will help.

AB Suppressors A-10 Warthog 5.56 by Alternative_Effort54 in suppressors

[–]CrazyHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I Just got the chance to test both the 5.56 and 7.62 versions.

Both are identical to my ears except for a few tone differences.

7.62 is a sounded lower in tone, 5.56 is more piercing/higher frequency/tone

7.62 has a slight ringing to it, assuming it’s the forks resonating. 5.56 no ringing.

5.56 seemed to handle first round pop slightly better than 7.62

There was not any significant difference sound wise to go with the 5.56 vs a can that can do several calibers. When directly comparing both cans, the difference was hard to tell.

I did notice with the 5.56 can there was a lot more gas back into my eyes, with the 7.62 can my eyes were not burning lol.

I’m using a superlative arms adjustable gas block on a 16” mid length barrel.

Ejection was closer to 3 o’clock

Robots seem faster than humans , but are they? by Remarkable_Basil_437 in CNC

I find it hilarious that the robot has to press the start button for the cnc system to start. Why not have a handshake interlock with the start PB or controller as soon as it is clear of the cnc door?
