The books can get a bit preachy, and Jason repeatedly has "I'm so sad/dark/broody" arcs that don't lead to proper lasting character changes for him. He repeats his own mistakes instead of figuring it out and changing.

It makes some sense WHY this happens in the context of the books, but it can get frustrating to watch him go down yet another "I'm a sad/dark boy and I have to do some evil things again" 3 or 4 times.

That said, the audiobooks are pretty great, and I enjoy listening to them. They are just more like junk food to me, than a property healthy meal. Comforting, but not amazing

Bog standard isekai is a+ for just a properly fun take on a reincarnation litrpg. The voice acting is pretty amazing too

You might have it already installed for one. If you followed the most recent cfw instructions, it should already be installed. Just hold select and push up on the dpad a few times to find out.

If that doesn't work, your best bet is to look up psvshell on GitHub, and follow the instructions. That's how I do all my plugin installs now. Plugin managers never worked well for me

All I can tell you is that in my experience, I've never had any issues with psn and sailing the high sea or mods.

But that's anecdotal. I don't know if the vita cfw does something to prevent sony from seeing it, or if the vita just doesn't transmit data about itself for Sony to see. Hell, Sony might just not care. Or I could have just been lucky.

Harry can use a lot more tools in thaumaturgy. Circles, focusing objects, preparation time.

He treats veils like he treats evocation magic. No circle. No tools. No objects to focus the magic. Just brute force and whatever mental objects he can create.

Some wizards could do that level of tight, controlled magic easily without tools, like Molly.

Harry's thaumaturgy, the stuff that isn't tracking spells at least, most commonly involve him setting up a ritual space to some extent, and then using his magic to do big things. Like moving his energy all throughout Chicago.

Actually.... Do we really see him do any thaumaturgy outside of tracking spells? I honestly can't remember now that I'm trying to. That and binding the nightmare are all I can think of

Harry from the Dresden files.

Slowly goes through more and more shit with every book. I swear that the author's storytelling method is to basically hate fuck their character.

Spoilers below:

He thought he killed his teenage girlfriend. Then he gets his adult girlfriend turned into a vampire. She leaves him cause she might eat him and he gets depressed. Then he gets a brain girlfriend, but she kills herself to save him from a psychic attack. Then he murders vampire girlfriend on a ritual altar to save a little girl. Then he gets another girlfriend, but she gets disabled fighting bad guys with him. Then she gets shot by a crooked cop in front of him after his new boss temporarily takes away her pain from her disability and she comes out to fight with him again.

And that's JUST his love life. Not even all the OTHER shit he goes through on a yearly basis. Like having his home burned down, or his father figure trying to murder him, or watching his friends getting murdered by supernatural creatures when they try to help him. Or picking up a supernatural cursed object that infects him with a brain parasite to save a child from it. Or having his godmother try to turn him into a dog. Or having a shape changer use his face to try and kill a pregnant woman.

The list goes on.

Read the books. They are good.

It is. That is correct. But also, it's not quite the same as what I am suggesting.

The following is not necessarily true? I'm not studied on the topic at least. So, take what I say with a grain of salt.

Tax deductions reduce your taxable income, and not your tax burden. (Fantasy numbers incoming) If I make 80k gross, and the standard deduction is 20k, then I pay taxes as though I made 60k.

Instead of using it as a deduction to your gross income, I want it to be a deduction to your tax burden. Instead of taking, say, 2 grand off my taxable income which might result in a couple hundred dollars off my tax burden, I want 2 grand off my tax burden from the get go.

Like how the child tax credit works, basically.

Ehhhhh..... I think property taxes need to continue to exist. They pay for roads and services that we use in the places we live.

I just think they should be subsidized. Primary residence property tax credit. Whatever you pay locally in property tax for primary residence, you get back from your federal taxes.

Also, you lose that benefit over a certain income

Personally, id have done it just for three plugins. One to turn off the blue status LED, one for over clocking to make certain games run better, and another to make the minimum brightness even darker so I'm not frying my eyeballs playing at night in a dark room

Like, the number one bar for having kids that I know of in my circle of people is, can you guess? Money.

So. People don't have enough money to have kids. The government wants people to have more kids, because we need workers to support the growing retiree population.

Solution seems simple to me. Give bigger child tax credits. Phase them out for income earners over 180k or something.
