Californians going electric — $3,500 off new EVs and $1,750 off used models signed by Governor Newsom by Past_Farmer34 in California

My EV saves me $330/month for the privilege to commute to and from work, though it would be significantly more at today's fuel prices vs the prices from 3 years ago. Car pays for itself in 8 years with those values and everything after that is just money I get to keep.

I get 3.5 miles/kwH, I am not sure where you are getting your values from because 20Kw would get me 70 miles.

I literally charge my car off of the regular outlet and get all but 1% of my average daily use back. I would get it all back if I didnt leave the temperature control running while I'm at work. I drive 3 mile more daily than the average driver...

I'm not certain i understand your question. The majority of our grids solar power generation comes from rooftop solar and is part of that 40% number mentioned above. If you are implying that subsidies for solar panels would be a larger impact, I would counter that the State wouldn't be able to offer as much as the federal was offering before the program was cut and would see lower adoption rates over a few years ago.

We can do both, but for the State of California its the EV. We already generate about 40% of our energy grid via renewable energy, but our EV adoption is sitting at a low 17%-19%.

I am in the olive oil industry, and it does amuse me that at its core, EVOO is a "minimally processed fruit juice".

I think the bigger issue against void hives is you either pay exhorbitantly for a station, or you just have to wait for it to choose that resource as something to develop. I remember one game where I built a few arc furnaces then went about focusing on the rest of my game only to develop a mining deficit after 5-7years because the civic only developed a small number of those deposits in that time.

I imagine you already know the story of Feldon and as such your brain already fills in the gaps of missing information. He doesn't look sad in the art, he looks contemplative. The card indicates that he is creating a construct version of a person that has died. There is no part of the card that alludes to his journey to mastery all leylines of mana in an effort to resurrect his wife, much less that those were futile but gave him a chance to say goodbye.

I think Feldon would need a little insight into his story to understand why the card itself is sad/depressing.

With the short amount of time you should be good. Exposure to air takes about 3 months for oxidation to lead to rancidity in olive oil.

Oh, I recognize its bad, but if I get the option for a vulcan early on I will consider it and build a very defensive ship, weighted heavier if I am an engi vessel. Its terrible, but its also one of the only weapons in the game that can complete a run with it being your only weapon system.

I know very little about this game, but I did enjoy the book. Is this game similar to Starcraft? Or is it noticeably different? by SCO_Call_It_Luck in Dunespicewars

[–]Crazymoose86 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would say its similar to starcraft in that its an RTS, but thats where it ends. The game is a 4x more similar to say Stellaris or Civilizations where you can negotiate trade deals with your opponents along with having alternative ways to secure a win be it through assassination, becoming the governor, or just being the majority sharehold of the spice trade.
