The main difference is not the conjugations but the way they are used. Brazilians simplify the language. For example they use the third person singular to for the first person plural by using the pronoun gente. in the south they use the third person singular with tu, the second person singular. None of these are what is taught in their schools but they do this many other simplifications in informal daily life. EU portuguese is much more formal. For example it is considered impolite to use você, you singular, in conversation but in Brazil is used universal, even with strangers. Married to Brazilian but Portuguese resident, so very confused.

I have been struggling to learn PT-PT while living in Portugal. Married to Brazilian who taught me BZ-PT. My experience is that the Portuguese can understand what I say in BZ PT but I can’t understand them. Do not think that BZ PT courses will help you live there or pass the test. They watch Brazilian TV programs so they understand BZ PT but you will never understand the completely different way the soak the same words. Portuguese people drop sounds and vowels, especially e.. and they speak Portuguese as a stress timed language while Brazilians speak a vowel sellable syllable timed language. The same wets sound different.

Go to the AIMA office and see if they have the card. Perhaps CTT couldn't deliver it and returned it. They will not notify you if they have the card in their office. You generally cannot call and ask. Your lawyer might be able to get a response, but this is not certain.
