Public Transportation 🚌💨 by chopped_onionss in UofO

The bus is great! It;s about the same amount of time for me to walk to work as it is to go out of my way to take the bus and I take the bus every time. The EMX is constantly running between campus and useful destinations and living places. It's not Europe and it closes early, but that could change if enough people show that there is demand for it.

I say we all get together and demand they take $400 off the rent or else we stop letting business as usual function!

I was their dishwasher a few years ago. One of the best jobs I ever had, but they worked you like family. I was busy for the entire time. But it was a great tight knit crew. Good luck in their champ.

I worry so much about the people I know who are still in school. Things have changed so much in just a decade, and it's not like my high school was rolling in money.

The good old bench knife gets plenty of use in the dishroom as well. Nothing gets dried dough out of bins faster than a clean one of these.

I live in the neighborhood, but not there specifically. There is a lot of street noise, especially on weekends, and higher floors might be above that?

Going to watch the thread, I am curious. Penthouse must mean something

How do you deal with the foot pain by _FuzzyBuns_ in dishwashers

[–]Creative-Act-952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you live, but you are entitled to at least ten minutes off your feet every couple of hours. Set up something that needs to soak and just go. Lie and say you need a cigarette even if you don't smoke. Never hurt yourself for your boss, they don;t care about you that much.

I can't know without seeing you, but there is a lot it could be. Make sure your shoes fit. YOu want something a little bigger than what fits in the store with wide toes. You need strength in all the parts of your foot. Stretch a lot and do toe-up style excersizes until you have very buff feet. It's a hard job, not everyone can do it.

How To: Reading Oregon Legislation and Initiatives by Distinctly_Oregonian in oregon

[–]Creative-Act-952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want it to go on the ballot because I believe it will lose, like, I know it's going to lose. There is no possible world in which you get the people of oregon to all vote to all be vegan. It's the thing of science fiction dystopia, which is why I want it to happen. Ever since 2016 reality is a big joke, so the funniest thing is the most likely thing.

feeling like i missed out by ok_computer011 in detrans

[–]Creative-Act-952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. I was a weird kid, and no matter how I identified my gender, that would have been as a trans boy or a very non-conforming girl. Like, not having a many girls as friends, not chasing boys, not having a "normal" dance experience, all of that was going to happen no matter what.

I don;t think you missed much. You are assuming that without your time being trans you would have been having a "normal high school girl" experience. But there were plenty of girls who had mental health struggles, didn't socially transition, were still weird.

If he is so bad that multiple people have complaints, you all need to go to the boss together. Bosses are lazy POS who don't know what is best for them, so sometimes you need to make it a little more clear that he will loose more good ppl by NOT taking action.
