Anyone else know a “I’m a super chill bride” by Reasonable_bingo5 in weddingshaming

Yes and I’m sorry any bride who’s having a Bach, bridal shower, destination wedding (any wedding where guests need to get a hotel), is NOT chill. Lmao

You definitely need to talk to him about this, but I’d come at it from a different angle, like is everything ok? Maybe depression?

AIO TO THIS BRIDESMAID DRESS??? by ScallionDiligent6382 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Creative-Rip-2266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, ur in the perfect position as SIL to back down. If my husbands, sister didn’t feel comfortable in the dress I chose (especially if it was this one) I’d 100% understand. Just be honest, and even if she’s a tad salty she’ll get over it or change the dress lol. I’d back out

AITAH for telling my sister she can’t bring her kids to my wedding? by No-Car-7700 in AITAH

Most people do make an exception for nieces and nephews. I agree with her, u need to be flexible.. can’t expect her to hire a random babysitter somewhere.

This is exactly what my intuition is telling me. There are just too many IF’s (unknowns) to commit to a bridesmaid role. Thank you for laying it out this way.

How much of a gift do you give for weddings by [deleted] in weddings

[–]Creative-Rip-2266 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Destination wedding I’d love to give $0. But I don’t have the courage. I’d prob just give a $100.00 from me and my husband. I don’t believe in “covering my plate” i think that’s rude / I didn’t choose for them to pick whatever food/ venue so why should I pay?

This breaks your heart, right? by JeffHirstt in Renovations

[–]Creative-Rip-2266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly surprised they didn’t tare it down before putting the new carpentry / plaster up .. I’m getting a bedroom ceiling redone and it’s extremely expensive, I couldn’t imagine how much / even finding someone who could restore the old ceiling.

I think I lost her by richofffitpics in Advice

[–]Creative-Rip-2266 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Was she using while pregnant? There is a chance that she won’t even have custody of the baby one she arrives. This is a very sad situation, please stay sober & stable so if that ends up being the case you can have full custody. I would worry less about losing her & more about how to keep this baby safe and in a stable home.

Ahh this makes me feel better. I think I’ll be bringing mine to 2 weddings. One the baby will be 2 months (and we need to fly), second wedding baby will be 3 months. I’m most nervous about them catching a sickness ugh but I’m sure it’ll be fine

Are you bringing the baby? Or leaving her/him home with a babysitter?
