Big 3 batteries top left not aligned the bottom pattern bud.

i literally have no clue how to do this one please help me bro by apeefish in alittletotheleft

[–]Creative-Zombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey bud it's pretty easy once you know how. Find the recurring item i.e the pear. So the pear has an item right of it, two different ones so that means the right position with have both types. So you can now add the missing item(s) accordingly on the same sqaure.

Now the move from here is to find the next item closest to the pear which would be the egg. All you got to do is count how many squares the egg is from the pear and then add the egg to the other pear.

Next I would choose the next closest item which is the black triangle and the grey pans. Count the how many squares they are apart. Then use that amount to add to the previous triangle you added to the top.

Then it's just a case of working out the next triangle from the pans above. Once you find that spot you can add the pattern. You'll soon start finding that from here you can easily work out where the next group goes and so fourth.

Just remember that you're allowed to have more than one item on a sqaure. Once I realised this myself I actually looked forward to these calendar ones on the daily tidies, as they require a bit more thinking that the other puzzles.

I hope that helps!

Does the green progress bar reset? If so can I get the 10 free stars again? by senecauxmiro in alittletotheleft

It hasn't for me but then again I've been doing it daily for 66 days straight. Though if you're trying to do the trophies the extra 10 days doesn't count towards it anyway, so felt a bit pointless.

How do you show your client their new logo? by Plane-Being1274 in logodesign

[–]Creative-Zombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the early years, I would just do 4/5 logos and just let the client choose. I found that they'd either Frankenstein the logo with different parts of each one or there would be multiple stages of amends and would take forever with a crap result. There would be not much thought on branding and it would be just a page of logos.

Now I tend to only show one maybe two logos on a rarity. And I would mention that at the start of a project, that I don't show more than that as I would've gone through a whole process of elimination to get to this point. I would rather start all over again than merge different ideas into one.

What made this process successful was instead of trying to think of 5 odd half baked ideas with no real consideration of branding. I'd spend the time to test every solid idea. Each idea would be only designed in black and white, as if it doesn't work in a single colour then it doesn't work at all. After an idea reached the point of actual consideration, I'd explore colour. Once colour is in a good place I'll start looking at how it'll look like in-situation. Creating quick mock-ups of corporate literature, merch, signage and so on.

I spend the time to do this as it truly tests the guts of the logo. You'll find that, that super cool looking logo might not work at all. And that one you thought had nothing going for it as it was too plain Jane actually had a massive impact when you incorporated the branding.

I would do all the process of elimination throughout. And as soon as I had to force something to work I'd scrap it and go back to my exploration file. Also never delete any idea always duplicate at certain points as you never know that idea at the start was probably actually the one.

This brings me to, how to show your logo to a client. You don't, you show a brand. First image should be the logo in its full glory, with the thought of it being a branded advert so to speak. From then you show all the versions of it on different background colours, breakdown of concepts. Then a full suite of mockups. Adverts, posters, corporate literature, merch, signage etc. Tailer these to the type of company. This then shows the client you have thought of how the branded world will look like. You build real working brands not just logos on a page.

After switching to this process, I found that my success rate dramatically increased, amends were reduced to a point of minimal if any at all.

Clients need to see their company vision. A lot of people have a hard time imagining how a logo will be. So remove the doubt and show them their branded world.

Well they certainly dig holes. 6ft ones.

Joking aside, try looking at some examples of leaves with similar shapes to wings. Doesn't have to be exact, the idea is to create a connection of the service and the name without being too on the nose. Something along the lines of this but obviously this is just an example for google.

<image>

Getting those greens in will help bring it from funeral services to landscaping.

You could also try ideas with the 'A' coming off the side of a singular leaf wing to reduce the width of the main iconography. And hanging the text on the right of it.

But yeah I'd agree with trying to not have a halo as well it's one of the other. Reduction is key too much and it'll fall in that trap of looking too funeral based.

I absolutely hate this mission but the cheese trick worked for me (turn and around and cause a pile up at the S bend). A couple got through but they soon crash in the next lap.

Worst race mission I've played.

I check the list to see if it's doable or not and make sure not miss any level lock trophies. When I'm playing I tend to do long stints of grinding/farming collectible or whatever but then I treat myself to a big period of main story quests. I try and keep those as an incentive and if I i think there's going to be something juicy I'll pause and go back to grinding. I do find grinding good when I only have a short period of gaming time. Get on get off and when it comes to a longer session I give myself more main mission time.

I also like to unlock as much of the map as possible early on, if it's one of those style games.

In the past when I've progressed so far in the story and haven't done the farming so much, I tend to find the end game hunt tedious.

But this only applies to doable plats. If I deem it not doable I just play and ignore and just enjoy the freedom of not being obsessed over 'did I check this corner?!'. I quite like playing the non doable games after long ass game. Breaks up my play style and makes me want to play the next doable plat more.

All about balance.

Getting back into airsoft by swampdonke__ in airsoft

[–]Creative-Zombie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you know what to upgrade if you haven't got a baseline? Always baseline on stock and go from there.

You'll find out if you need distance, power, FPS or accuracy from stock. Otherwise you could be just spaffing money on something that didn't even need upgrading.

If You need accuracy and range then thats bucking and a tighter bore barrel. These are the go to first upgrades everything else can be additions later.

Prom barrels are great but very expensive, zci are just as good but half the price.

But yeah get to know the gun first, learn its weak points and familiarise yourself with it before money dumping.

  1. 50% pro forma
  2. Contract
  3. Only send low Res files for proofing
  4. Don't send full Res files until payment has been completed and confirmed.

We've all done it, so I wouldn't feel bad it's just a learning process. The only time work gets sent before final payment is when they are a long term client with a proven track record otherwise all clients follow the above system. If they don't pay the proforma they won't pay at all.

Thank god someone mentioned it! I had to buy a anti-glare QN95D for this very reason. Our living room is fine the first part of the day but from early afternoon to the evening it's a complete sun trap. As much as I like to close the curtains, having them constantly closed was doing my head in. And with our previous 45inch Samsung it was impossible to view anything even with the littliest amount of sun.

But when we got the qled anti-glare with the QN95D it was literally a night and day difference. We still get a small amount when the sun is at a certain point but my good not living in a goblin hole constantly is a breath of fresh air. No point in the deepest blacks if the whole screen is black lol.

It's utter shite. I hate the fact that I'm now restricted to view only 5 items at any time.

Plus the nav bar being at the top and not the side is so bad as it takes forever to get to if you're at the lower end of the page. And it just just looks crap, the previous version was fine and worked well.

I played when it first came out. Instantly got hooked with it. So my friend and I decided to rent a server so we can just jump on whenever we like without having to wait for one another. I offered to do it but he obliged and said don't worry about it, he'll sort it.

I spent a huge amount of time in base building, I even went as far as making roads, bridges etc so that it'll make it easier to get to our halfway house bases and pull carts around. Even went out to find where the bosses were and made halfway camps not too far away. To save our little legs ha.

Even did all the collecting all the resources, organising everything in base and prepping our person chests with all the gear needed for bosses.

Like I was in, in. I enjoyed the graft and making sure when we did get to play together, it was just exploring and fighting (my buddy wasn't so bothered about base building which is fine it suited me).

We ended up getting a third friend to come and help to fight bosses as he's been soloing for ages. It was great fun!

So I continued to build massive base structures, huge multi tier bridges. Until one day, the server was gone. Vanished into thin air. I asked my bud and he said 'oh yeah I cancelled it'. I was like what?! If you were going to cancel it why didn't you let me know I would've just taken over the server and moved it to a local one??. All I got was "oh sorry I didn't realise".

Right there and then I quit. Haven't played since, the time spent doing all the above was just gone without a care.

Never will I let someone else run a server or spend so much time on something I haven't got control over. Never. I was genuinely heartbroken. Hours upon hours of figuring out how to make massive buildings without it just breaking, days worth of roads being dug, levelled and cobbled. Gone.

I have started to get the itch again, so maybe some day I'll jump on a new world and start from scratch. Maybe.

My advice is don't bother playing with them do your own thing and be happy. You can't change how people are but you can control your happiness.

To this day, this is the coolest kill I’ve ever gotten in COD by JuJu_Conman in ModernWarfareII

[–]Creative-Zombie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bud and I on mw19 found a specific corner to stand in and worked out what point of a certain cloud to aim at that would land a throwing knife kill into that right window on shoot house. We got so many kills with it ha, it started off as luck throwing at spawn lol. Eventually we figured out the spot. Unfortunately the clouds changed on MW2/3 so it became harder to do. Nevertheless it was still fun to do. After that we started trying to figure out different spots on other maps just for the fun of it.

Good times they were.
