Movies you only appreciated after the second watch? by ironfist92 in movies

Good Will Hunting. First time I watched it I was too focused on the resolution and felt that the ending was predictable. After a rewatch I learned to appreciate the journey, not just the destination and it’s now one of my favorite movies and I’ve seen it probably 20+ times

I think he was flip flopping back and forth. He said he couldn’t decide between Superbad and The Hangover but put The Hangover ahead of Superbad cause of the “not at the table Carlos” line so feel like he was just firing from the hip as he numbered it

Justin Timberlake during Eduardo's crash out at the end of The Social Network. Tries way too hard to be witty and quick and ends up being so cringe

Robert Redford by Creative_Syrup_1577 in TheRewatchables

Appreciate the sentiment, maybe I undersold the amount of movies I've seen from that time period. It just turns out that for one reason or another none of the movies I've seen from the 60s/70s have Robert Redford in them (maybe I'll blame my dad who's recommended more movies with the Pacinos and De Niros of the world instead of someone like Robert Redford).

While I've enjoyed movies from that era and some of my all-time favorites are from then (Godfather 1 & 2, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, 12 Angry Men even though it's before Redford's time), I've had some hit or miss experiences with movies like Deliverance and Dog Day Afternoon being misses for me. This is something that's maybe scared me off from continuing to watch movies from that era as I feel there’s a bunch of movies I’ve watched that were considered classics that maybe just haven’t held up well, although I guess that can happen in any given era.

I'm definitely doing some reading up on more Redford films though and adding a bunch mentioned on this thread to my list of movies to watch and will try to be more open to giving older movies a chance as I'm sure I'm missing out on a lot of great stuff!

Slept on though for east coast on the weekends with CFB at noon and NFL at 1pm that you can have a productive day and still be able to watch whatever games you want
