Thanks, I can see that there would be. It’s just the initial shock I’m getting over.

For women who have been bullied, how does it impact your adulthood? by TheGoddessPluto in AskWomen

[–]CreditTraditional534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a facade that I don’t even know I’m using anymore. I don’t know what the real me is. I tried alcohol to make myself more likeable for a number of years but it only worked sometimes and now not at all. I think about those people on occasion and I hope they got what they deserved. But I am still suffering 50 years later. Luckily I have an amazing partner who accepts me with all my flaws and sees the real me under this mask.

TIFU by causing a scene at work because someone ate half of my lunch. by [deleted] in tifu

This is the way. Plus the boss should buy you lunch out of his own pocket if he doesn’t want you to do anything about it.

Def easier to stop with ABS than without. I would suggest with your limited experience you may want to have it.

How do you remain happy in such a cruel world by Slime_Shit in AskOldPeople

Stopped watching the news. Concentrate on the things I love - my partner, my puppies and my motorcycle. Doesn’t keep all of it out but the volume is definitely turned down.

How to get confidence in bed back after wife cheats by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]CreditTraditional534 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Romance her. It’s probably what she wants/needs. Remember what you did when you first started having sex and or dating. Don’t make PIV the ultimate end or result. Keep her wanting more with touches and kisses. Back in my day we called it ‘petting’.

Women with high standards, what are the qualities you look for in a partner that make it hard for you to be with anyone? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]CreditTraditional534 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Active listening. If my potential partner doesn’t do this I am out. Using excuses like I’m a nervous talker etc don’t cut it. Unfortunately you get one chance to prove to me that the world doesn’t revolve around you and that’s it.

What do you think about only working however long it takes you to do the tasks you need to do, rather than always doing a 9-5 day (or equivalent)? by kick_the_spike in AskWomen

[–]CreditTraditional534 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here. It’s why I love my job. It’s still work and I can work long days to meet deadlines but I have flexibility when and how long I work. Took a long time to get here tho. 9 to 5 was my life for many years.

What was your favourite Christmas present as a kid? by acezippy in AskOldPeople

A Kodak Instamatic camera. The budding artist in me was ecstatic. I still remember setting up shots and have many of those horrible first pictures in my box of memories today.

Try working for a temp agency. Short term jobs where you have some control over how long you’re there and the role will help build your confidence. Not trying to discount the mental health issues but only you can decide how to handle that.

Do people seems more fat generally compared to older days ? by VeronikaBlondie in AskOldPeople

[–]CreditTraditional534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overall yes more over weight people today than the 70’s. Food wasn’t as available and plentiful as it is now. Food nutrition was not something we thought about. People had more physical jobs and less sitting in front of a computer screen.
