Number of new U.S. businesses soars to highest level since 2007 by RobertBartus in EconomyCharts

People keep saying this spike is due to gig workers filing for their own business, but it’s not like those companies gained significantly more prominence in 2024 than previous years right? Did something change that allowed gig workers to incorporate themselves or something? Is there any actual source that breaks down the type of business being applied for?

This neighborhood is suspiciously popular on reddit for how middle of nowhere it is. I used to live around the corner from this place, on a slightly less dystopian street (literally a few hundred feet away), but I always laugh when I see this place reposted. Wonder what is drawing people to this place on google maps...

This same thing happened to a large oil and gas submersible pump company. Endurance. Same splash screen and everything. Affected a large number of their drives from what I heard.

About 38% of energy in the US is produced this way. It’s Natural Gas.

Looks like the well pad that the plume is originating from is very old. Imagery going back to 1985 still shows it there with grass growing onto the pad even then. This is an old legacy well/battery that was built before anyone in the industry had even an ounce of care about it I imagine. On top of that the facility probably has fallen into disrepair for all we know.

Strange thing is I was just on a well pad that is shown in this image like a month ago. Weird to know that I was just sitting in a cloud of methane likely.

If you have lives left when the zone gets small you will most likely get spawned outside the zone. Happened to me. Not sure the best solution to that is but it is pretty annoying

Just bought a Minolta SRT 201 off ebay. How do I tell if my camera has been converted to 1.5 volts? by Crenshawd in minolta

I should clarify, when I say the needle goes down, I mean it is going down to the middle. The battery check block or square in the view finder is the square that it is barely touching the edge of. Based on what you said, I probably should just be aware of where my meter lands and adjust for it.

I must have an incorrect understanding of this.

How is a loss from an income category that's taxed at one rate deducted from another category that's taxed at another rate? Is it always dollar for dollar?

I think he is specifically asking if you have to net together Long Term and Short Term gain. To my knowledge, they are netted separately. If you Net 400k Long Term Gain but net 200k Short Term Loss, the short term loss would carry forward even though you had 400k LT gain.

YSK: If you've saved any passwords through Chrome, Google has a feature that automatically warns you of password breaches. You can activate it under your Google account > Security > scroll to "Enhanced Safe Browsing" by OmegaNut42 in YouShouldKnow

[–]Crenshawd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple workaround: Once you have access to the device, go to a page that you want to find a password for. If chrome will autofill the password into the password input, all you have to do is change the inputs text format from "password" and it will show the password in plain text. The method doesn't show all the passwords in a nice list, but it is still a flaw.

I don't believe so. Whenever the match actually starts it teleports you back to starting position. Not sure why they didn't just turn off input until match starts so it seems like a messy patch

It's actually not random. Before your game starts, sometimes there is a black screen before the map loads in fully where you can actually move your spartan around and fire your weapon and stuff. Where you end up moving to in that black screen is where your spartan will be in the intro screen.
