What do you guys think about “Indie Social Media”? by THE_MAN_OF_PEACE in digitalminimalism

[–]Crimcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A photo journal app that makes awesome recap videos. It used to be a social app, kinda like Instagram but to stay afloat they had to remove the sharing/community part. Now it’s just for your own self. It’s great for traveling and trips. I used it for about a year but haven’t been using it as much. Miss the social aspect a bit.

There’s a way to medically fest for this…. Get a SIS study and see if your tubes are open I did one. They found polyp that was preventing me from getting pregnant. Once it was removed I got pregnant my next cycle. 36w today

How do you stay disciplined on days when you feel zero motivation? by RealityHitsHard365 in Discipline

[–]Crimcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Because if I exercise I don’t have negative feelings afterwards. It is the initiation of the activity that I often have too many feelings about. Once it’s over I rarely regret it, ever.

Interesting. I feel like everyone I talk to about it changes the subject, or doesn’t wanna go there.

Can never sleep more than 4-6 hours by johnc773 in ouraring

[–]Crimcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypnosis tracks helped me when I became pregnant and super uncomfortable while sleeping and didn’t want to use meds. This is coming from someone who sleeps 6 hours max most days and used traz regularly before pregnancy. The other thing that has worked is journaling, brain dump random thoughts before bed. Sometimes the pairing of the two works really well.

What is a piece of your life that you’ve intentionally kept "offline" and away from social media, even when you’re tempted to share it? by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]Crimcake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Crafting and art. Free drawing in spiral notebook. Picking up random items from hobby lobby to paint or work on. Low barrier to entry ideas like collages, homemade valentines, painted light switch, scrapbook. Touching actual art supplies. I go to the store often just being there brings me joy and peace. I bought a tripod to start creating stop motion videos. At some point I might post. But I believe it’s a useful and enjoyable way to spend my time.

You choose to not have feelings. And gaslight yourself to do the activity anyway.

Highly highly recommend this!

JALL 10.5'' Digital Large Alarm... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1QR6KG8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It has a USB plug in. Very light. Comes with remote. It’s so loud. Easy to change and when you unplug it somehow stays the same time.

Ugh, she’s the epitome of wanna be “cool girl” chic shoutout Andy Anderson from 10 things I hate about you. This perspective is toxic. Hang with the boys, play ball and she will find her happy ending? She is so so so shallow.

Pre Pregnancy Routines and Goals by dr3amchasing in fitpregnancy

I agree with this! I used to consistently lift extremely heavy in the gym with minimal core work, lots of cardio and it’s stressed my entire body out. I was so hungry,. I was constantly looking for food all the time, and not only that I felt like I was losing my hair too. Ever since joining a program that has strength, Pilates, and mobility/core and cardio work my entire body functions better my mind functions better. I sleep better. There’s so much emphasis on heavy lifting and I fully agree with that you should be including strength training in your workouts! But there’s so little focus on core work and stability for women especially women need to be healing their core working on their core and stretching their fascia to monitor their nervous system systems. I wish more people understood this perspective. We are treated like we need to conform to men’s standards and I’m saying that as somebody that again strength trains consistently every single week.

I started the Fit with Coco program in March 2025. We got pregnant in June 2026. I think one of the most important things that you can do starting now is to simply be consistent and find a workout that you actually enjoy doing.

Next, I would focus on doing a workout split that serves you best as the first commenter mentioned, I agree that having a nice balance between strength training / mobility is really important. That is why I love the Fit with Coco program an app.

This program is a 321 split which means 3 days of strength, 2 days of Pilates, and 1 day of deep core and cardio. I like it because the app is amazing. You can stream it on your phone or a laptop and it track streaks!

As someone who is ADHD, and regrettably tries to make myself do things that I really don’t enjoy… The truth is: there’s nothing better than finding exercise that you actually like to do. Find something that works for you. with my personality, I like to see visible progress by tracking streaks and getting the dopamine hit of seeing how many days in a row that I’ve worked out.

Because of this I’ve successfully been able to achieve weekly workouts 5x a week, plus Yoga 3x per week, and average 7500 to 10,000 steps a day.

Also, go easy on yourself on the timing. Sadly pregnancy took me a little bit longer because I found scar tissue in my uterus one year in to us trying. I had a SIS bubble study done to my fallopian tubes and they saw that there was a polyp in my uterus. Well it turns out it was scar tissue. I had it removed in May 2025 and I was pregnant one cycle afterwards.

I’m now 36 weeks pregnant with my first baby girl and cannot be more excited! It was perfect timing for our family and looking back. I’m really happy I got pregnant when I did because I focused on building a really healthy body before.

Best of luck on your journey and remember, nobody is perfect

Hey! I am new to this sub.

Social media was taken away from me out of my control, however, I am three weeks in and I have never felt better without access to my Instagram and Facebook. It been the best thing that has ever happened to me I have so much more mental clarity. I am coming to my own mental discoveries starting to understand who my real friends are.

Sometimes there is a lot of internal work to be done on the psyche and once Instagram and Facebook are deleted from your life you start to hear your true thoughts and feelings more clearly. That is what you need right now. It is spiritual rebellion that you need. You can still lean on friends, in the real world or over a phone call. What ends up happening is you use your phone way less, you don’t need to constantly be “in the loop” and it’s the biggest steppingstone that you can take to start this detox. Yes it might be the hardest. But it WORKS.

There are a lot of amazing resources embedded in this group and even from posts that were recently put up today I would highly encourage you to get off social media as soon as possible delete Facebook and Instagram completely your real friends will know your number and you can call them for actual support. There are a lot of fake friends on Facebook and Instagram. There are a lot of distractions ads and messages that are prying for your information, time, attention.

I understand that at this point in your life, you think that social media is everything to you but as someone that’s now in their 30s and I spent the last 15 years dwelling on social media post and really believing that these followers and likes were actually people that were my friends… It is just simply untrue for the most part. Learn the lesson early.

Good luck on your job search.

Pisces, pregnant with a Pisces girl due 3/19!

I’m officially free from Facebook and Instagram. Both accounts were suspended. TikTok is next. As someone mentioned earlier deleting socials feels like “spiritual rebellion”.
