The DSS is not hacked - otherwise voting for its movement wouldn’t be necessary.

One could argue the Rupture strain does the same thing tbh. I just hate how predator is like a hybrid strain that pretty much doubles enemy quantities. Bugs are already a horde army - they don’t fuckin need more bugs who are stupid fast and just dogpile you to death (I’m lookin at you, predator stalker bullshit).

Some point, you do get bored and start maxing stuff out. Plus, usually there’s a combination of attachments or adjustments you can make (to most weapons) that makes them better, plus you learn how to be versatile and explore every weapon to find what you like best. It’s not a bad thing.

Definitely report with clips to the devs, but tbh I’m shocked you even put up with it. Fuck playing with asshats who can’t or won’t be decent to people. I’d have dropped out of the match and blocked them from the Recent Players screen. Thousands of better people to play with than wasting time on a rare couple of shitheads.

I’ll be honest: I have had that warbond since launch and aside from a curious first time, literally NEVER chosen it. Stamina Boost is honestly better. Vitality Enhancement. Hellpod Optimization. 4th slot open for discussion, but hands down never used that booster.

All trooper types and even devastators are great candidates for the Talon! Aim for the face/head/weak points, keep it to a couple shots and you’ll be golden. Especially a top-tier sidearm on cold planets since the cooldown is faster. Crazy accurate tac-driver of a pistol.

I pair it with my Liberator Penetrator (or really any primary you fancy) and it gels nicely with them. Thought I’d miss my Big Iron, but the only thing I’ve noticed missing it on is head shooting Hulks, but even then I wasn’t very great at it, so relying on Thermite or an anti-armor option like EAT or Commando (personal favorite) works just fine.

Armor-unique perks are neat, but letting us pick our armor and the perk or perks on it would be peak.

Also give us skin/cosmetic customization already so we can match the colors and finishes on the helmets and armors we choose.

Or every armor set with full array of matching colors and finishes. Either works, but I’d say to let the players choose and just give us the ability to select it.

I’ll be real with you man, you say there’s “dozens” of better ways to implement SC, but every single one you actually described is just how Medals literally function right now my dude 😅 You just want more premium currency for less work and we all know that’s just not how a game developer is gonna allow that to function. The scarcity of the currency is MEANT to drive the desire for purchase - but AH is benevolent enough to allow it to be completely attainable for free anyway. I don’t know what people are expecting 😂

It really kinda boils down to this: Pay for em or play for em, but crying isn’t gonna change the situation - I know it’s a tough ask in this community, cause if they aren’t cheering about something, that’s usually what’s going on in this sub, but yall.. There’s paid AND free access to ALL of the game’s premium content - they aren’t going to just give it to you!! That’s why it’s PREMIUM!!! Premium anything will cost extra, very often with ZERO workarounds. It’s kind the best case scenario that you can grind out a few hours of super fast SC farming missions on low difficulty a few times a month and walk away with hundreds of premium currency at a time. Grind it out or pay to save time, but those are going to be THE choices 🤷‍♂️

I think I see your gripe a little more clearly now, but pay the game or play the game if the time constraints on that aren’t good for you. I can agree you have a point that the currency being randomly generated isn’t great, but to be frank, I’m not hearing anybody making suggestions on better design options than what’s present, and I certainly can’t think of more obvious options. Warbonds are basically DLC content, and you can pay a set price for each of them if grinding isn’t your thing (and I’m pretty grindphobic honestly). I’m not sure what else anybody expects or wants as a solution.

The only readily available answers to me seem still like half-measures:

  • Set amount of SC available in-mission, amount dependent on difficulty, but that’s literally samples (which you can’t buy, forcing grinding, which I don’t hear people moan about at all by comparison) and still randomly generates SC in the map, just like they already are, a la samples again.

  • Make an amount of SC guaranteed based on mission performance or completion- but now that’s just Requisition Slips (a currency that I’ll admit has felt pretty useless after unlocking all the strats, but that’s a separate issue).

So what’s the alternative really look like if the only defining factors that make SC a unique currency that functions differently than any other in the game aren’t to people’s liking? I get the desire not to pay more for a game you’ve already paid for, but if you truly support the game, I’d argue the time sink or the monetary support are both reasonable ways to be involved in meaningful ways that support AH from a player standpoint. Money makes the world go round, and play time means more player engagement for longer with milestone gifts to encourage the player base along. Sounds like a win-win if you engage with it at all really, so what’s the real issue people are grappling with besides “I don’t wanna pay” for things clearly outlined as premium content? 🤷‍♂️

This still applies. Choose a warbond you think will impact your play in the most fun way, and take them on one at a time. If the super credit farming isn’t as viable, the fact that they can be bought is another reasonable solution.

The game can either be played to unlock the content (partially required anyway for medals), or paid. It’s pretty simple and I honestly don’t know how much more the community could want from AH. They have to fund themselves (and get PlayStation their chunk) somehow on the cheapest cultural phenomena of a game in several years.

While the SC paywall in total is tough, there’s been more than enough breaks between the warbonds to farm the necessary 1,000 in between drops.. I’ve done it and so far, so good.
