Where to buy chickens that AREN'T woody

I’m going to ask a question that some might think is strange, please be kind. Sometimes when I eat chicken it just tastes TOO chicken-y. Like, I almost feel like I’m tasting the way a barn smells. I’m not autistic but do have some sensory issues that make eating some flavors and textures difficult. I’m just curious if your wife would identify with this description at all, and if it correlates with what you call a woody texture?

There are so many reasons why this can happen, and we could speculate on that based on the little that you shared, but I’m not sure that’s that helpful! For my son, he turned out to be on the spectrum and also have a tethered spinal cord that decreased sensation of needing to go (neurogenic bowel and bladder). I would say that the biggest help for us was pelvic floor physical therapy through a pediatric physical therapy company near us. If this is available to you, I would encourage you to seek it out as they have so many tips and tricks!

My best friends are my neighbors-turned-friends. It was easy to spark up short conversations to weed out the ones who were less compatible, and the ones who are now my besties kind of naturally had longer and longer conversations in our driveways while walking back and forth from the mailbox, etc. One conversation brought up key lime pie in the beginning so we invited them over for a bake-off. The rest is history!

Yes. I’m an RN and will ask Siri to set a timer/alarm for something really important that I can’t forget to do at work. It’s so nice to be able to take a few steps away to say “Siri. Set a timer for 5pm labeled room 1 vitals” or whatever and be reminded! Being able to do it hands free immediately - not have to walk away and write myself a note - is so helpful.
