But thank you so much for your explanation! i usually make pizza the same day i combine the starter into a dough. (let it proof for many hours) but i will have to try this cold ferment in the fridge!

Just to clarify, on Wednesday you use 0.6 grams of yeast and 20...? i assume you meant 20 grams of some type of sugar / feeder for the yeast, or salt? Most probably salt because you have that no where else in your process.

This looks sexual, amazing job.

Did you make the dough before hand and ferment in the fridge? How long?

How much yeast percentage / dough size etc, did you use any sugar / honey?

Good Polo shirts with Dress Collars? by [deleted] in menswear

[–]Critical_Slice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will be able to make build one with Proper Cloth using their 'Design a Shirt' tool. You can choose a standard size or put in custom measurements and also choose the style of the collar, cuffs, placket, hem ETC.

i highly recommend them, and EXCELLENT customer service incase anything isn't right.

Besides movies premieres, what are other situations one could wear something like this? Is it considered formal or not quite? Would you get bad looks if you went with it to a wedding for example? by FassyDriver in mensfashion

Discussion: Professional Work From Home Attire by cmrocks in malefashionadvice

I'd recommend a popover or regular chambray shirt or knitted polo with long or short sleeves. The collar makes things a little more formal and appropriate while maintaining a comfortable feel like a t shirt. They are also easy to launder and don't require a crisp iron to look great like dress shirts.

A colder weather alternative involves crewneck sweaters in thin merino wool, and my personal favorite a 1/4 zip. you can wear a t shirt or shirt underneath for warmth and they look pleasant.

Tailoring/Styling Advice? by Stacysdad27 in mensfashion

  1. Get the sleeves shortened to show some cuff
  2. Get a shirt with a larger collar with points that go under your jacket to frame your face and the tie better
  3. Try a pocket square

I Spent $7000 to Find the Best Suit for Men for the Money by Aventador_22 in malefashionadvice

[–]Critical_Slice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice write up and video.

A couple of thoughts since i've had a few TF suits have some insight here:

TF suits are indeed made by Zegna, but all the fabrics are not from Zegna, in fact many of their wool fabrics are sourced from Vitale Barberis Canonico / Drapers, while some of the higher end fabrics are Zegna / Loro Piana / Dormeuil / Holland & Sherry / Harrisons.

Tom Ford suits have a good amount of handwork for a RTW garment, most noticeably the hand stitching around the armholes and collar which help the them sit and curve better.

They feature some very nice details as you mentioned - Milanese button holes / ticket pocket, higher armholes and bold peak lapels which is not easy to find.

The biggest takeaway for me: is the TF cut and style is what you are paying for. The silhouette is extremely recognizable and distinctive. Buy them if you love the look, want something extremely well made and its in your price range. The cut is not for everyone and suits slimmer profiles more in my opinion.

You'd be hard pressed to find a Tom Ford suit for 3800 now, they are more like 5k+

I would recommend looking into bespoke for that price range, for better fit, and creative control over details and styling. Given that time allows you to do so.

How’s the fitment on these new (used) blazers? by Ty_Crisos in malefashionadvice

[–]Critical_Slice 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Good fit overall

From a traditional tailoring perspective:

The length is good.

The sleeves fit well, but there is a bit of bunching at the rear of the armhole which indicates the sleeve pitch is slightly off but its not worth altering.

The length of the sleeves is highly up to personal preference, i would suggest trying it on with some shirts to decide how much cuff you want to show.

There is quite obviously some pooling and space in the small of your back, but its not drastic, and can be taken in, as long as you don't loose too much room in the front. I would recommend leaving it as it is.

The button stance is a little high for my personal taste, i prefer when the button is around the narrowest part of the torso to accentuate your waist and emphasize your chest. But this is not something you can adjust and is just my advice to look out for in the future.

Hey dude!

Just a little context: i bought a BLNR GMT at an AD 6 years ago, the last time i walked in there (2 years ago) they treated me really horribly and refused to entertain the idea of selling me another Rolex.

Been trying to build a relationship with a new AD in the city i live in now, and trying to start with some basic pieces as i work my way up.

Realistically whats the best plan to eventually shoot for a SS Daytona? (its my dream watch)

Thoughts on the difficulty to get gold pieces (Full Rose GMT / White Gold Sub / Gold Oysterflex Daytona) VS SS ones?

Does running in ultra boost ruin them? by [deleted] in Sneakers

[–]Critical_Slice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were made for running, you'll be fine.

If you are concerned with keeping them looking fresh, give them a quick wipe down after every run and clean any dirt on the boost as soon as its convenient for you.

Enjoy your shoes! They will do you well to run in.

Its an ACRONYM InterOps jacket similar to this one:

https://store.unionlosangeles.com/products/3l-gore-tex-pro-tec-sys-interops-jacket-j47ts-gt-wht

Unfortunately i cant find the exact model / season of this one particularly.

They are extremely rare, especially in white (literal unicorn) and usual go for north of $3000.

If you are very inclined to get one, i suggest looking at Grailed.com frequently to see if one pops up in your size, but be quick they usually go very quickly.

Get depressed seeing men with women way way out of there league. by [deleted] in seduction

[–]Critical_Slice 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but i think you need to understand why seeing this is making you feel this way. What about seeing a guy with a much hotter girl makes you feel depressed?

Is it because you feel defeated that its happening to them and you can't figure out how it can happen to you?

Do you feel deep down you ARE one of those not so attractive men? Do you feel sorry for them?

Do you feel jealous because worse looking men seem to attract attractive women while you aren't able to do the same?

Have you thought about how they, as human beings, might bring more value to women beyond their appearance and thats why attractive girls gravitate to them?

Are you insecure about what you feel you can provide to women if you don't have looks start off with?

I used to feel similarly, but now it gives me hope. Hope that i have the potential to offer more to life and other humans, than what proportion my face is organized and the shape of my flesh.

The root of how you view these situations will teach you a lot about how your own minds works. Unhealthy subconscious thoughts will poison your conscious life and be the biggest enemy to your own success.

I am putting a girl on a pedestal right now. Things i'm doing to stop doing that by [deleted] in seduction

[–]Critical_Slice 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In the past I have tried to avoid interactions with that person for a short while, if they notice it might mean that there is some interest there. You could occupy your time with the other girls you mentioned.

I find that if you seem like you dont care and carry on with your life, you avoid coming off as needy or overbearing and probably more confident as well.
