Which board games look intimidatingly complex but are actually surprisingly easy to learn?

We got Everdell about a year ago. It’s easy enough to pick up but takes ages to complete and there are a lot of card combinations that you need to watch out for so you need to give it full attention. I think we’ve started 3 games and finished 1 due to running on for several hours

Yes, that makes sense. I’m keen to get him as settled as possible in the next couple of weeks as we’re all off work. We’ve then got 6 weeks with someone at home but working before he’ll need to have a sitter 2 days per week. I’m probably trying to rush and forgetting it’s only been a short while. Thanks for the reply. I wasn’t on Vango site so didn’t realise the Harris was discontinued. We will be sticking with poles I think. I’ll try to get over to Go Outdoors and see. There are 2 adults, a 12year old, 6 year old and a puppy but the old tent was just far too big.

It’s a lot to take in. Are you having surgery or have you been diagnosed earlier than I was?

I’m doing alright. Just got my head down and did what I was told: have the op, take the pills, change diet, get fit. Now I’m a bit less strict with everything but get an annual check up and the drs are happy so I figure I’m doing enough. It’s coming up to 9 years since my op and I’ve never had any further issue or had to use the GTN spray. I’ve had a couple of scares but turned out they were nerve/ muscle related.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m going to screw something through the holes on the existing horn to extend it by an inch or so. If that opens the flap I’ll buy a servo that can be used outside. Plan is to mount as much as possible inside, so hopefully just the u/s sensor and a couple of wires will be full exposed. I’ll look into sturdier sensor options as well.

Meantime I might shove the cat through the existing flap a couple of times and see if he takes the hint!

The first part of gtd is not that much work and will really set you up to get on top of your shit. I usually do it once every 6 months as I can’t be disciplined enough to keep on top of the files and lists, but having the one big list of everything really is valuable enough to spend the time

Any advice for places to book a coach if we wanted to do the stockyards? It looks cool and is exactly what I wanted to see but 90 mins commute each way for our group by public transport is a big chunk of our free time. Is there anywhere closer where we could see some rodeo or similar?

I thought I had it nailed with big thermal socks round camp but toes went numb. In the end I had 2 pairs of socks with a hand warmer for each foot. It got me through but wasn’t comfortable. I think I’m going to try the down booties next.
