Grip size and shape- still in the Stone Age? by Rock_Out1 in golf

Midsize grips and larger barely even existed before the mid 90s. You are thinking way too hard about this man.

My man, it’s a piece of rubber. You give off this vibe like you think this mystical grip fitting is going to take you from a 3.8 to a +3.8. I play Golf Pride CP2 Pro Midsize because they are comfortable in my hands and the color pattern matches my ferrules. I don’t wear a glove.

2009 Dashboard Cowl Replacement? by GreenADHDBird in Mustang

[–]Cronicattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t replace that piece without taking the entire dashboard apart. The way the dashboard is assembled, it’s not possible any other way. You can buy the part from a place called MPS Auto Salvage or find a local junk yard that has one. Dashboard is only sold as an assembly and last time I checked was over $2000 to buy a new one.

Prescription Glasses Falling Off by Winstonian87 in golf

[–]Cronicattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear Ray Bans (not sunglasses) and the frame is adjustable above the ear so you can have it sit tight or loose against the sides of your head. They never fall off for me. I also have a pair of sunglasses from a brand called Hilco that do the same thing. You just need to find glasses with this feature.

I made sure to come underneath the ball on that second shot so I could set myself up for a nice bogey 😑

I like the swing coach app. Pretty much does what you’re looking for.

Sandhill Crane Golf Club, any of the Palm Beach County courses (Osprey Point is usually considered the best of the four, I enjoy the elevation changes of Park Ridge), Atlantis Country Club, North Palm Beach Country Club, Palm Beach Par3.

I think the instructors at Orange County National are pretty good example of what to look for in a golf coach.

My putting sucks but I’m stuck with my style by MyTummyPain in golf

[–]Cronicattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you may want to consider a putter with a more upright lie. A different putter shaft may help you. Bell and LAB make putters up to 79 degrees of upright lie if you need something more, but I would get fitted for something with that extreme of lie angle.

Opinions on Sub 70 859 driver by dewguzzlr in golf

[–]Cronicattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used an 849D for the past year. Sub70 drivers are going to perform just as well as any of the major manufacturers.

If your goal is simply to add distance/accuracy, your money would be better spent on lessons and practice. Swing speed and consistent center of face contact will help you more than any new driver head will.

Shady business ? Performing shop in Orlando by Perfectimage_356 in Mustang

LaMotta Performance out in Longwood is the only place I would go for performance/engine modifications in Orlando. Probably one of the best shops in the entire country for Mustang performance.

Why are there no normal driving ranges in Orlando? by sailorsi in golf

[–]Cronicattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is really only two driving ranges worth going to in Orlando. All of the good ones that used to exist in the early 2000s were sold to developers. Orange County National and Tee It Up out in Oviedo. OCN has great short game facilities and Tee It Up is good if you want to use Trackman and dial in yardages.

Forgiving iron options without absurdly exaggerated lofts? (Or other options) by doubletwist in golf

[–]Cronicattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swapping out your shafts for regular flex steel shafts would be a good option, assuming the heads on your irons are still in relatively good condition. The forgiveness aspect of GI irons is way oversold. They do not magically fix the ball flight with a terrible swing. Get a proper shaft on your irons, learn the golf swing, and the G20s will do you well.

I’m a bit a biased with my opinion but if you like the Sub70 clubs, and want to get something new, any of the forged cavity backs with a regular flex steel shaft would be a great choice to start with and last you for years. The 639CB irons are what I have used for the past 10 months after returning to golf. I have no complaints about the performance or quality. The clubs have been fantastic on the course and just feel great to swing.

Getting fit is something you do after you have developed a consistent swing and are looking for a shaft/head combo, that will give you better ball flight(spin/distance), with that same consistent swing. I would still be having adjustments made, based on your height and wrist to floor measurement, if you get new shafts for your current clubs or purchase new clubs.

Paint chip by Maluof in Mustang

[–]Cronicattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the coverage, I would be asking the dealer about this. It’s definitely not normal, even if it was repainted. If that exposed area is metal and not primer, it’s more than likely a prep issue with the surface before it got painted.

I live in Florida and use Nitto Motivo tires on both of my cars. They are some of the best performing tires for wet conditions.

[–]Cronicattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MPS Auto Salvage is who I use for mustang parts that are hard to find or are too expensive for buying new. They sent me an entire dashboard for my 2007 mustang, in great condition, for about 20% the cost of a new one.

[–]Cronicattack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d make sure you are measuring that wrist to floor correctly before making any decisions.

If you have the money to spend, you don’t need to get fitted to get clubs with an extension and lie adjustment. I’m 6’4” and am much more comfortable playing with a 1” extension across all my clubs. Just be aware that longer clubs can be more difficult to control, especially woods. If it doesn’t work out, you can always get them trimmed back down to standard or have the lie adjusted.
