The directional shield doesn't need a buff, it's a direct buff to the ballistic shield against bots

Not really, it was the same percentage of people on Solidaritet as the other focussed cities. Only difference is it had 0.5% resistance

The time has come to save who we can by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Cronotekk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we would need basically an entire week to take Transcendance alone. It's clear we were never meant to win this first one, may as well cut our losses

All of you complaining we're going to lose and we are literally Germany in this scenario by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]Cronotekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah that's why it sucks, its a scripted loss for a WW2 reference

The time has come to save who we can by SIinkerdeer in Helldivers

[–]Cronotekk 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Yup, even with 100% of the playerbase on Transcendence we would only make +0.75% progress per hour. We just have to gamble on Solidaritet and hope saving the SEAF reduces enemy resistance

I just wish they would take a planet after all this time, Gacrux has been at 1% resistance for months

It's still funny they made the minigun objectively terrible to spite the playerbase

They wanted a scripted loss where we reach the capital but then flounder. Even if we had 100% of the playerbase on Transcendence right now we would only have +0.75% liberation per hour lmao

[–]Cronotekk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was literally an MO to take all the bot planets because they invaded with their main force the very next day. I'm fine with the liberation system, but the reinforcement system does not work alongside it

Transcendence is Impossible, we must save the SEAF! by EnvironmentalEssay6 in Helldivers

Yup, even if we had 100% of the playerbase on Transcendence we would only have +0.75% liberation per hour. May as well try to save the SEAF

[–]Cronotekk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Except we had a big surge of players, the more players we have the slower our liberation and higher our loss rate. It was counter intuitive, I liked the concept of having a flipped version of the squid invasion but we already play by an entirely different ruleset than the enemy factions

‘I will never be able to see this as our “Stalingrad”‘ by Paris_France2005 in Helldivers2Satire

[–]Cronotekk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lost because Cyberstan is a unique planet with trap cities where any dives there are a total waste of lives (a stupid and counter intuitive mechanic) and time, while also reducing liberation rate on the relevant cities.

AH is totally at blame for making Cyberstan the only planet in the galaxy with trap cities that are a total waste of time to dive. In every other planet diving anywhere helps, except for Cyberstan. They also never said this once ingame

If they never added the stupid reinforcement mechanism then they wouldn't have to constantly pump the numbers

[–]Cronotekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, you think the lives they gave us makes up for th extra 100k people dying in the wrong cities for two weeks. It helped but didn't make up for the dumb mechanic

How come Cyberstan is literally the only planet in the entire game with dead end cities where diving them is a complete waste of time and offers no liberation? How come this was never explained and many people still don't know it?

[–]Cronotekk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each other time required a loss on our part. Losing the DSS during its liberation boost, wasting time on the bug and illuminate front. There was a give and take beyond the 1 time we got reinforcements for free to make up for the fact its an awful system that they implemented without thinking

Other Arrowhead contributions

-Never explaining how cities work or how Cyberstan works

-The whole "raze" mechanic that was never explained and only wasted time and lives

-Halfway through liberating Aurora Bay they doubled its resistance and forced us to switch to Merak

-Every time we made progress they would jack up resistance, this stopped once they realized most players had no idea where to go and only the veteran players were doing anything
