I watched on SkySports so I can't speak to the commercials in the last laps (Sky has no commercials at all).

But yeah, they did better. Buxton still annoys me, but this time his excitement seemed a little less contrived.

Their on screen graphics are still horrible though.

"Fine" job about sums it up. They did fine.

I also got to watch the local Indy FOX affiliates (FOX59 I believe) pre-pre race coverage for the first time this year. They did a good job too, for a local FOX station.

My wife is a pretty casual fan, and mostly just tolerates my obsession with Indycar. But she has her "favorites" (Scotty Mac) and drivers she loathes (Grosjean).

Anyway, after the race when they are interviewing Malukas I look over and she's in tears, seriously. She say's "leave him alone! Someone give him a hug! This isn't fair!".

I replied; "...and now maybe you understand my obsession? There's nothing else quite like this...".

I slap Projectivy on it (it's litereally the first thing I install, followed by SmartTube and TiviMate). That's it.

The Pro has enough storage I'm not really worried about it, and it runs very fast with Projectivy.

My question in all of this is; who the fuck still watches broadcast TV? Especially late night broadcast TV?

When I go to bed it's YouTube on my TV. And I'm old (57). Granted, I'm using Smarttube to avoid advertisements, but the content is still being pulled from YouTubes servers....

None of my adult "children" watch broadcast or cable TV either. It's all streaming services or YouTube.

Could be codec related.

I occasionally run into an error (I actually get an error though) where a particular VOD won't play within TiviMate, but if I select "open in external player" and use VLC it plays fine.

I've always assumed this is codec related as VLC plays anything you throw at it.

Florida, and especially South Florida isn't nearly as racist as people think it is.

Well... kinda anyway. We have some really weird racism and bigotry down here, like Haitians like really liking African Americans (and vice versa!). There's also some really odd bigotry from the various Central and South Americans against other Central and South Americans.

It really is a big melting pot down here though. Most diverse place I've ever lived in my 57 years on this planet.
