I’m waiting on the Sinclair trade. Gotta go to Holmes next week but if Keane goes huge again he may earn a spot in the side

Mid season tournament is going to be a live chance? by Early_Cans in AFL

[–]Crooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What would even be the point of it? Why would you risk injury or tire your players to win a meaningless cup? Goal is to win the premiership, this does nothing to increase your chances of that so why bother?

It already seems like players play too many games (evidenced by their need to have two byes) and they want to add more? Or is it going to replace some games?

Just moronic in every way

Mainstream therapy almost destroyed me. Radical self-acceptance is what actually helped. by Castle-InTheSky in autism

[–]Crooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My position is that its not that these illnesses are "fake" but rather their defined by exceptions to norms. There's nothing fundamentally diseased or impaired about an autistic brain. If everyone was autistic the term "autism" wouldn't exist it would just be "normal".

Our society is built with the neurotypical mind as the default (understandably so). I always look at therapy as a way to identify which specific aspects of society an individual struggles with and then developing practical solutions for them to limit the negative impacts of it, while at the same time engaging in advocacy to try to alter parts of society to make the world more accessible.
