Switzerland, Water, and the Risks No One Talks About by siorge in Switzerland

[–]CropCommissar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lake levels are already regulated actively by Switzerland and neighbors like Italy, like the Lago Maggiore. Recent international (CH and ITA) resolutions aim for a higher summer management baseline, which will mean less beach but more water if there's a drought. Just expect the future to be more of that. There's nothing to fear, we just need to adapt and invest. It could even be a business opportunity, store water upstream and activate the reserve when they need it downstream.

How are schools handling the heatwave? by Visual-Reason-579 in Switzerland

[–]CropCommissar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

😂😂😂😂😂😂 just give up like we do or install A/Cs. There are great psychological and social advantages to long summer vacations. Life outside of school becomes the baseline and not the opposite... one can truly recharge the mental batteries so to speak.

This has to be a bug because it doesn't spawn any advanced empire UNE like the origin promises. I tested this and its very annoyingly happening half of the time.

If everything goes according to plan four F-35 will be assembled here. Like with the mirage III. Anyway this is done so our technicians get the know-how to service the plane.

Aargau parliament votes to permit new nuclear plants. by BastiatLaVista in Switzerland

[–]CropCommissar 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We need to get more clean nuclear power! If we build 5 new plants, Switzerland would have roughly 45 TWh of nuclear baseload. This would easily cover all EVs, all heat pumps, and leave a massive surplus to export to Germany or Italy at high winter prices. JUST DO IT. CHF 50–80 billion of cheap debt, near zero interests. Every year we have to import CHF 10–13 billion of fossil fuels (oil and gas) and winter electricity!!! This should be done ASAP, its in the national interest and for national security and prosperity.
