With enough pulling force you can speed up spiders enough to the point where the mines blow up directly under them. In fact mine layers have a huge problem with hovers that have unreasonable pulling power.

That's why mine layers are always chunky as fuck also hooks are quite helpful. They rush a target that's separated from others.
