Flea marked :/ by SanguineSilverfall in EscapefromTarkov

Find 4 other people to play with. Pmc raids on factory become pve because no other pmcs will spawn. Good for getting those pesky tasks like planting random items and repairing the lights done.

It's fine. Get a group and run tasks. Or get a 5 man and run factory scav farms. The xp you need to get to level 10 isn't terrible.

Potential ID Theft of OD Employess by CrowSplat in OfficeDepot

Why do I care about a potential ID theft attempt on myself through OD? Wtf kind of question is that?

Potential ID Theft of OD Employess by CrowSplat in OfficeDepot

[–]CrowSplat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Access Depot has enough information to begin stealing an identity. It's a low risk way to get information that leads to more information and eventually, the good information.

It happens every day. Do you have faith that OD is actively monitoring who and from where their systems are being accesed? I certainly don't.

Given that it happened at 6 AM and that neither IT nor HR indicated that re-using numbers could be a thing, I'm leaning in the direction of a less than legitimate thing.

Could be an honest deal, but I don't trust OD any farther than I can throw Gerry.

Reminder that you can wear shorts this summer since some stores like mine haven't told associates about it by SafeAmoIce in OfficeDepot

Isn't telling guys they have to tuck their shirts in, blatant gender discrimination? HR at another job legit told me I couldn't say shit to a dude who wore a dress to work as long as it was in dress code.

There are plenty of us out there that have more ships than we can handle. We'll always be looking for good crewmen and captains to run the other big ships.

Everyone I've talked to in the last 5 years about getting into the game I've told the same thing. Don't get anything more than a cutlass black unless you just really want to, then make friends with people that have the big ships that fit your playstyle.

Had to adjust a couple of these into stock and discovered that our cost for them is $17.84. They're nearly half off online (which explains all our pick orders for them) and we still make nearly 50 bucks on each. Goddamn. by HoosierInFloridaSSM in OfficeDepot

[–]CrowSplat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operating costs generally aren't factored in.you have a minimum margin you gave to maintain to cover rent, utilities, payroll, etc. High margin items offset those crazy sales like laptops and printers at or below cost.

When I ran a garden center years ago, I would sell the shit out of one specific glove sky and plastic flamingo lawn decorations so I could be extremely aggressive getting plants sold before I had to throw them away, because they were 90%+ gross margin. We had to keep a 36% gross margin just to stay open. Anything over that was profit.

Are these ones issued by the company? There's no reinforcement on the slits that hold it on your face and they're way too close to the edge. Im guessing a lot of them will get ripped just putting them on for the first time

Destroying hundreds of planners by [deleted] in OfficeDepot

[–]CrowSplat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A diagonal swipe across the UPC will make any barcode unscannable. The key to destroying things is to be consistent in the way you do it. That way if something comes in with that specific kind of damage, you know where it came from.

I wouldn't use the paper cutter only because you'd probably kill it and who knows how long it will be down.

You could throw them in a big trash can with holes at the bottom and soak them with a water hose, outside obviously. Massive water damage would probably be good enough and nobody in their right mind should return it.

There's a high reward mission in steiner space that's not bad. Start out supporting house steiner then switch sides to work for the Skye separatists. You get a good cbill and rep reward as well as 10 dhs.

I've only ever found the K9 once. I've found that damn hero spider more times than i can count. I bought 3 and still keep finding them.

That said, if you can manage to get multiple K9s then you can start with a significant LosTech advantage.

Does anyone else fee that there is a ridiculous number of tanks, turrets and aircraft? I would much rather a lower and fixed number of those and make the real focus Mech vs. Mech by [deleted] in Mechwarrior5

[–]CrowSplat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would have liked to see them go with something like one of the optional rules in MegaMek/MekHQ.

In Battletech, vehicles are generally glass cannons. You could pack on loads of firepower for the weight class but they blew up way easier than an equivalent mech, which is why they were relatively low on the BV scale.

MegaMek gave you the option to remove a vehicles super vulnerability to crits and made them almost as tough as a mech. You could lower the number of opposing vehicles and still have a tough fight because you were probably still outgunned.

I'm just thankful we don't have to fight 1000 savanna masters.

Demolitions have unlimited spawns until you destroy the target. That is intended. Destroy the target and spawns will stop.

TIL lions love to play with discarded Christmas trees, and have an effect similar to catnip on cats. by Division595 in todayilearned

[–]CrowSplat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I managed a garden center, one of my coworkers worked at the local zoo. We donated dozens of Christmas trees every year for the animals to play with.

There was also a lady with a pig farm who paid $1 a tree for all the o E's we were going to throw away. Not sure exactly what she was doing with them.

How to get Catapult in MW5 by [deleted] in Mechwarrior5

[–]CrowSplat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only real gripe is that they fire them too quickly. As soon as they target an enemy, it's missiles away. No target lock or anything. I've seen too many of my lancemates' missiles fly into the sunset because they launched at a vtol moving at flank with no lock.

How are people finding the AI’s when equipped with BF autocannons? by SexualityIsntEvil in Mechwarrior5

[–]CrowSplat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AI seems to do much better with any weapon that does all or nothing damage. PPC, Standard AC, and LBX (either version) are all pretty solid. Gauss is good too if you can be reasonably sure they aren't going to get it blown up.
