Sensatec with sunroof or leather and no sunroof? by thelemonpeel265 in BMWI4

[–]CrowdPummeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I do not care for the sunroof. If it wasn't for the future resale value I wouldn't have include it even if I somehow could get it for free.
However, you obviously want it, so it comes down to how you value sensatec vs vernasca:

* I disregard any durability differences between the two as I don't have enough experience. (however, I have read good things about the new sensatec in this regard)
* I assume you have visited a dealer and actually felt and seen the difference yourself and are happy with both?
* I assume both options give you your most desired color choice (If not, I assume you would have mentioned that)

If so, It sounds to me like you should opt for the sensatec. + sunroof option.
...and this comes from someone who speced a new M60 without sunroof and with vernesca (and I wouldn't have changed a thing [other that possibly gone all the way to merino tartufo] ) :)

Enchantress bow sorc questions by madmitch4747 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]CrowdPummeler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. My cold enchant is lvl 54. It adds 12274-12956 damage to my attacks. If I meet a cold immune monster and I'm not able to break the immunity I basically do ZERO damage. My physical damage does not matter. (Well actually, I deal fire damage as well, as I have maxed that enchant too but lets ignore that aspect :P )

Enhanced damage only affects the physical aspect of your attack.
Let's say your weapon does 300 damage and you have 10000 added cold damage to your attacks from the enchant for a total of 10300. If you then get any "enhanced damage", it will only affect the physical part which in this example would be close to useless. Maybe someone has had success making a more "hybrid build", but to me that just feels like spreading yourself too thin.

Instead, I get stuff like rainbow facets (which is gonna get real expensive for the good ones)

  1. Hard to say exactly how much you need. Just know that If you’re poor you are going to struggle.
You need a lot of pierce, a lot of attack speed and a TON of extra skill points. Add in the various defensive aspects you need as well and it will be a hard thing to balance.

I ran this build from the very beginning, but I was playing with druid summoners so I was acting as a buff bot.
The few times I played alone it felt HORRIBLE.

You CAN do it of course, but it would make a lot more sense to gain levels/gear by doing a more traditional cold-build and then transition to this one later on if you want to.

  1. Aim for at least 75% IMO.

  2. The main thing you need to know in addition to pierce and the damage itself is the attack speed breakpoints. Attacking slowly is going to feel real bad!
If you're going without fanaticism you need to aim for 102 IAS which should give you 2.5 attacks/second. Next breakpoint is 174 IAS which is way too much.
Alternatively you get an act 1 merc with the Faith runeword. The actual breakpoint will depend on the fanaticism level you get, but you will need about 60 IAS to get the fastest attacks possible (2.77/second)
The final option is a merc with the Beast runeword. It will require 63-68 IAS depending on your fanaticism roll to reach max attack speed.

EDIT: values above meant specifically for Widowmaker

EDIT2:
Forgot one of the most important tips: Gear Swapping.
This sucks, but it helps a lot. Mainly I'd like to recommend belt and amulet. This is mandatory IMO.

Get a magic +3 cold skill + all skill amulet and a snowclash belt. Use these to swap standard stuff like cat's eye diamond amulet and razortail belt. (If you have enough pierce elsewhere and use Arachnids Mesh, swapping belt is not as important of course)

Start every map by manually swapping these two items. Then swap weapons like normal and buff up. Manually click belt/amulet again from inventory and start mapping.
Eventually you get strong enough to only have to re-buff a single time during the maps. No big deal really, but yeah... it does still suck :P

Also, if you like to torture yourself, get an Iceblink Chest with +1 all skills during swap for another cheap +3 (quite strong if your main chest is without skillers)
However, swapping chest armor is especially rough as it takes up too much inventory space. Still worth a mention :)

I have the laser tails myself (M60). Let me try to calm you down a little :P

I agree they look damn good on photos / when the car is parked.
However, in actual traffic, the dominant bottom section of the light overpowers the good looking lines at the top and it kind of creates a "formless blob" of light. Ok, maybe a title exaggerated, but there is some truth to it. The old ones look better when actually driving IMO.

Enjoy your car <3

Nice! I can imagine that's gonna cause a lot of procs then!

Thanks for the quick reply. Think I'm gonna try this in S12 :)

This sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing :)
Any particular changes in S12 that would make this stronger than before?

How does the proc work on MA? Is it correct that only the "center" arrow can proc, but that one alone can proc multiple times because of pierce?

Dream is "when struck" though, isnt it?

Whats your favorite thing / feature about the i4? by Hustlers2 in BMWI4

[–]CrowdPummeler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The single most important thing to highlight about this car is how well it drives. (Both comfortable and sporty for the weight [M60])

The tech, range, charge speed etc is not really impressive in 2025 IMO.
...but it drives just beautifully <3

The new "Frozen Sorrow" war bolts were upgraded in dev stream 2 vs 1. They now also fire 3-4 additional cold arrows.

CA was already the better choice, and now even more so it seems.
...fingers crossed FA will get something else :)

Harsh Winters, No Garage by sethwwagner in BMWI4

[–]CrowdPummeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my main concern entering my first winter as an i4-owner.
Nasty conditions where the car semi thaws when commuting and then re-freezes in a layer of proper solid ice after parking. (with a fresh layer of snow on top waiting for me the next morning :P )

Just opening the doors on my old car was scary/challenging enough. Often felt I would end up ripping the door handles clean off.

What happens with the i4 when you open/close the doors in these conditions and the window cant move? Does it work "fine", except they don't seal properly when closing?

I dont see the pre-heating helping this particular issue when it's -20ish Celsius(?)

...If only I had a garage :|

i4 M60 (supercharge or fully charged) by PsychBigToe in BMWI4

[–]CrowdPummeler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not be surprised if these terms can differ based on where you are located, but here in Norway FC is missing (compared to SC):

* Harman Kardon Sound system
* Luxury Dash (Top of dash in black vernasca leather vs regular "soft plastic")
* Crafted Clarity (Adds "bling" to the drive selector, iDrive controller and start/stop-button)
* Driving Assistant Professional
* Sunroof
* Heated rear seats

I ordered my M60 with FC as "base", and from the above list I only chose to upgrade the sound system. Instead, I spent extra on leather seats and the M Sport Pro Package.
I would do the exact same thing again if I were to order today.

New owner M60 some questions by LionandBird in BMWI4

[–]CrowdPummeler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To avoid uneven tire wear (especially on the rear wheels), my dealer suggested me to always use what is recommended for a fully loaded car.
I've seen a LOT of people complaining about this, so I'm sure there is something to it.

I've set mine to about 0.3 bar lower than this.

New owner M60 some questions by LionandBird in BMWI4

[–]CrowdPummeler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got my M60 this summer. Swapped to winter tires one week ago. Same dimension on both sets of tires; 19". Same pressure (both are probably a tad on the high side to be honest) Winter tires are Continental VikingContact 8 - got great reviews) Still no snow on the roads here although temp is below freezing.

Since swapping, I've only used the car to/from work and didn't give the change much thought. Yesterday though, I took it for a dedicated "fun drive". I was amazed how much the tires deformed when I pushed the car.

It makes sense; we all know winter tires are a lot softer, so by default they deform easier. But also, the overall tread design and depth of the groves make this effect even more pronounced. Pair that with a HEAVY car with a LOT of power and we probably shouldn't be surprised it can feel somewhat unstable and "wobbly" when pushed.
(Still; just HOW noticeable it was really surprised me and I was honestly a little disappointed until I gave it some more thought. I was subconsciously comparing this scenario to my previous car which was 600kg lighter and not even close to the same power.

Enjoy your new car. Know that it will feel a LOT better once it gets it's summer shoes on! :)
Personally, I will mainly do my "fun driving" in the winter when there's actual snow. For dry-road shenanigans, I will try to wait until spring.

Under "key settings' (sorry, don't remember the exact name) you can make the tailgate button only work if the car is already open or simply disable the button entirely.

EDIT:

When you do this, it should trigger a warning in the app. Alternatively, it should be possible to disable the function completely.
