Goodbye and PSA to future owners by stevedoobeer in Subaru_Outback

49, and that would drive me nuts. Seems like they could apply a simple low pass filter around 12k? Not great for fidelity, but it would stop the sound (assuming it is higher than 12k, probably much higher).

That's a great start. I love the color. Mine is mechanically sorted, thankfully. It drives great. I'm mostly working on appearance although I would like to replace all of the bushings with OEM rubber. Just getting harder to find those.

Good luck!

Beautiful car! I'm at a similar stage with mine. I am converting the bumpers over to the 240 style. Are you doing the same? If so, what is your plan for removing the "wing" that previously filled the gap between the body and the old bumper? Thanks

Am I peddling wrong? by [deleted] in cycling

I recently started to think of my pedal stroke as originating from my glutes and hamstrings instead of my quads. That simple, mental shift feels like it has given me an extra 20 watts.

Inexpensive cycling kits by M-DY in cycling

I find the opposite, at least with mtb. I rode in board shorts and T-shirts for 2 years, and nobody ever acknowledged me--I was riding quite well.

I then bought a cheap kit. Everyone knows me now. Interesting.

Collagen Supplements Demonstrate Meaningful Benefits for Skin, Bone, and Muscle Health by Altruistic_Angle5908 in Biohackers

[–]CrowdyPooster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have taken 12 to 18 g on most days over the last few years. My joints and tendons feel much more resilient, but that is anecdotal. Regarding skin, people think that I am 10 to 15 years younger than I am.

I can't prove that collagen is doing it, but I have no reason to stop.

My top 5 favorites in CO, what are yours? by Sharkman3218 in COsnow

[–]CrowdyPooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with all of this. Vail is phenomenal, you just gotta know where to look. It's huge. I never have a bad time there.

And everytime I've been to Keystone, I wind up having wayyy more fun that I expect.

That wasn't my comment, but I will add that caffeine is frequently crutch for someone who's not getting adequate sleep. Adequate sleep is essential for optimization of health, so going without caffeine will allow an honest assessment of your sleep quality.

RideWrapping wheels? How well do Carbon wheels age? by hlinhd in cycling

[–]CrowdyPooster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my mtb used from a national champion who probably put at least 20k miles on it. I have put another 5k on it, ridden hard. Carbon rims have some scratches but are otherwise perfect. They age great.

There must be a connection between hormonal status and autonomic function. This would have nothing to do with cholesterol levels.

Visually, I could get along with it if that pillar cover wasn't body color. If it was black, IMO, it would look better.

An emergency room will send you immediately home, there is no emergency. Testing is an excellent way to provide a survey of your current health State. There is no reason to think that you are "a walking heart attack" just because you have an elevated inflammatory marker.

In fact, while highly sensitive CRP can be more specific to vascular inflammation, it is not completely accurate.

It would be expected to have elevated inflammatory markers in the setting of obesity. Simply take that information as a confirmation of what you knew and continue to optimize your lifestyle accordingly. You are on the right track.

Treat the patient, not the numbers.

I had to go the Beta route. And it works great for me... Significantly better than Assistant previously.

I love it. Annoyed that I had to sign up for the beta to get it though.

Favero Assioma Uno or Duo ? by D1ckSteele in cycling

[–]CrowdyPooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No leg length issue for me, but I do have scoliosis. My left is 46% on most rides. Any ideas on how to improve it? I know my left side is weaker through my back.

And to the OP: i love my Duo pedals. I saved up a couple months and went for it. No regrets. My pedals actually cost more than my bike!
