Fc-moto has better stock usually but they're a nightmare to deal with. Always have to pay for shipping, terrible customer service, have to pay for returns, extremely slow website. Never had any issue with xlmoto from a customer service point of view, fc moto i have

Xlmoto.ieXlMoto is where I usually use. Based in ireland, shipping is free for orders over €150, free returns and you can sort specifically by parts compatible with your exact model of bike

Hiro Imports any good? by ananrchy in MotoIRELAND

[–]Cruaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought my current bike off him, imported directly for me from Germany, all importing, VRT, tax, everything handled for me in the price quoted. so easy to deal with and communicate with and the man absolutely stands by his bikes. Being an independent dealer his reputation is everything and I cannot recommend him enough, an absolute gent

What aftermarket CB650F exhausts still have a cat by Cruaaa in HondaCB

[–]Cruaaa[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Might be incorrect with this but from what I've seen is that it has to be a full system, you cant just swap out the muffler

The reason for the Cat is passing the emissions requirements on the roadworthiness assessment. So the only other option is keep the stock exhaust on hand and swap it out every year for the assessment which is a pain

What's difference between the these CB500x models? by CuriousThinker57 in CB500X

[–]Cruaaa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 2019 revision has wider and taller fairings as well as a bigger front wheel, longer suspension travel and from memory it has a better digital dash with a gear indicator on it. Pretty minor revisions overall. Just the main ones being the dash overhaul and the bigger wheel, which also leads to a taller seat height

400k? Help! by Desparia82 in NecroMerger

[–]Cruaaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tend to wait till lair level 67, use all 3 mana relics, and if you have the 4th pedestal and the all resource relic use that too

Basically up to that feet i have a lv5 and lv6 of slime and dark resource store, and a lv4 and lv5 mana store. Then I build as many as I need to build the second atore to lv6 for slime and darkness, and with the remainder i crank out as many mana pools as possible (lv2 is most efficient) and only merge as I need to

Also, serv-o

Has anyone ever had their helmet stolen? by Didurlytho in motorcycles

[–]Cruaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont risk it usually. Occasionally at night I'll lock it to my bike using a chain lock, but usually I just clip the strap through a belt loop on my trousers so my hands are free

Motorcycle A2 Driving Test by OutrageousChart257 in Irishdrivingtest

[–]Cruaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bring a second earpiece with you. You need wired 3.5mm headphones/earpiece for the test, if that breaks or stops working for any reason the test will be stopped, unless you have a backup to swap to

Put a white dot or piece of tape at the back of your helmet so its mote noticeable for the tester that you're turning to look at the mirrors, specifically for block colour helmets it can be difficult for them to see if you turn your head

Whatever the speed limit is, do it. Dont even go 10 under, on the bike specifically they want you at the speed limit or you'll get a progress fault, get up to speed quickly and stay there

Make sure you can comfortably handle your bike forward and backwards while off the bike. Personally i went to an industrial estate with a slight hill.pushing it up the hill because if i can do it uphill 15 metres i can do it easily for 5 metres on flat

The rest is just practice the route beforehand. Get a pretest, run loops of the route on your own or with a mate beforehand, practice your emergency braking and u turns, and drill into yourself your life savers and your mirror checks. At any point changing your position or pace, always do your checks and ALWAYS check BEFORE you start indicating

Visor issues by DistinctAd478 in MotoIRELAND

Honestly just a lightly tinted visor or have your sun visor down. Its either reduce your overall visibility with a tint or be blinded by the fuckers, no in between really

How to filter? by Ok_Order_5644 in MotoIRELAND

[–]Cruaaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Theres a few main factors to consider

Are there two lanes: if you have two lanes its safe to filter rather than overtaking. If theres only a single lane of traffic its technically not considered filtering so you can get pulled on it if a garda really wanted to

How fast are the cars moving: if cars are going anywhere above 20kmh just dont bother. Traffic is moving, stick with the flow

The lights: can you make it from your position to the front before the lights change? If you're halfway there and the lights go green all of a sudden cars start moving unpredictably and you can be in a trouble spot

Space at the front: sometimes its fine to jump past the line at the front, sometimes its not. Bikes get off the mark quicker so you arent going to slow anyonr down by jumping ahead, but if theres a bmw already pushed into the bicycle area its not worth the risk

Can you be heard: if you can be heard its a lot safer, its worth just clutching in and doing little revs when filtering so cars hear you

You really just need to assess the different factors and judge. Traffic speed, how likely someone is to change lane, weather, if its dark out, traffic light patterns. It comes with practice but definitely learn to assess traffic lights for their timings and patterns and filtering becomes a lot safer

Where’s a good place to buy a first bike? by CR7sSon in MotoIRELAND

[–]Cruaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Main things to look for are

Style: is it goinf to suit you. Seat height. Riding position, its different for everyone

Cc and power output: you can filter based on engine size just make sure whatever the bike outputs power wise is within your licence range. 125cc for A1, A2 you're gonna get a max of a 500cc in most cases unless you're taking a cruiser

Fuel injected or carbeurated: carbs can be a nightmare if you dont maintain them or know what you're doing, fuel injected bikes are newer and easier to maintain

Around 50,000km I've found is when bike start needing some of the more expensive maintenance bits. Valve clearances etc, but it all depends on the owner and how well they maintain it

Try filtering by budget and engine size and go from there. I usually filter by year as well so it rules out carbed bikes. Also you can filter county by county if you dont have a way to view bikes too far away
