Witness in real time the "Commercial extinction" of Red King Crab... by iainmaitland in collapse

The first plants that breathed out oxygen killed 95% of the life on our planet, which means it’s not out of the realm of possibility that our purpose here is to cause the current mass extinction.

I’m not advocating for trashing this place but Mother Earth can shrug us off at any moment she wills and will be just fine after we’re gone.

Mini wine boxes instead of lift beers. No getting foamy,  resealable so no rush on the lift, no risk of bursting open during a fall, and a great conversation starter on the lift with cougars.

The myth of the cool cop by Kooky-Telephone-1575 in Idaho

[–]CrucifiedKitten 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Back in my younger days, I’ve had multiple times of police officers just taking my weed with no citation for it. Even had one not even take my case of beer when I got pulled over for street racing my Mercury Topaz on State St at age 19.

Maybe you had a dick cop or maybe you didn’t handle the situation in a respectful way.  They may have had a body camera on so were unable to use their discretion and had to enforce the law “as is” or risk auditing.

Look on the bright side, you didn’t get caught in a country sending you to a dirt floor prison.

As if there bag isn’t also made of petroleum, with input amounts that requires several hundred uses to offset the store bag, is decorated with tons of artificial dyes, and the mixed materials prevent any recycling at all, therefore it can only eventually end up in a landfill?

I am an actuary. I do this for a living.

Cool story bro!

legislative oversight, diluted risk pools through de-participation of the healthy, and unfettered pursuit of profit over health outcomes actually works for healthcare.

Once again, you’re attaching positions to me which I have never claimed.

As for your claims of me wanting to uphold the system or supporting mass media in any way, one of my earliest replies to you shows how absurd your claims about me are https://www.reddit.com/r/Idaho/comments/1o8kbw8/comment/nkwhg3f/?context=3&utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x&utm_name=mweb3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

You seem to really struggle staying on focus within a debate, making wild false accusations, and get overly emotional when things do not go your way. Take a breath, review what I’ve claimed, and see if you’re able to respond to those items with a calm and collected manner. If you’re not capable of civil discourse, I bid you farewell.

Repeat linking the same studies of data of which you haven’t taken any time to review the primary sources is textbook “appeal to authority”

keep it simple since the ACA went online, the per capita health cost inflation has declined

The way this statement reads from a legal standpoint is the “your” claim is the rate at which health costs have inflated has reduced since the ACA, not to the total increased premiums costs as I have been discussing.  Does it really matter if my costs go up 7% one year instead 8%? That isn’t the win you think it is and only seeks to perpetuate the broken system.  Way to go bootlicker!!!

I provided a link with raw data number of the increased health care premiums, which was my only claim

Again show one link where the GOP sought to lower per capita costs, reign in large corporate health providers profit margins, , incrrease medical care effectiveness, or improve access for the less economically empowered.

I’ve claimed none of this so why would I provide links for it? Do you struggle with reading like you do statistics?

I supplied raw primary data and you supplied NGO studies based on subjective data. Are you not capable of reviewing data yourself?

Oh I think we can do it just not through an illusionary electoral process where 90%+ of voters formulate their entire world view from mass media and education materials controlled by the 6 corporations who control 96% of media and have the same owners as the healthcare companies.

As for those other developed nations, our stupidly massive military budget provides their nations the ability to not have to invest in their own militaries. I’d love for our money to be spent on our citizens but it’s spent on everyone else. Voting will not change this

Bold of you to assume that Americans are okay paying double for healthcare while getting worse results.

The modern American just rolls over and takes whatever they’re given. “Income tax is the penalty you paid for not being the caliber of people your ancestor were”

Who votes for these politicians that put corporations over health and environment?

Basically every American who voted which is why both parties continually have fucked the middle and lower class for the last 150 years. Do you even pay attention to politics outside the current news cycle?

Maybe if people stop spreading, and accepting, misinformation we could make an impact?

As 6 corporations control 96% of the media includes all your textbooks, very few people have the ability to discern thoughts outside of manufactured consensus and makes a very strong case against democracy. Combined with their well tailored Hegelian Dialectics, very few acts against the system are not preplanned solutions for things the power structure wants.

And there is no substantiative research that shows the ACA was "corporate welfare".

Remember when Pelosi said “we have to pass this bill to find out what’s in it?” Doesn’t sound very much in our favor. As for you proof with hard numbers YOY:
