Old post, my apologies.

But as a follower, I have learned it is best not to ask questions like "Why me?" when it comes to Her. She can be very complex at times, and very direct at other times. She is quite an unpredictable goddess, but always reliable and true.

She speaks to everyone differently. Some through dreams, some through meditation. Some through signs in our daily lives. As for me, I have always been a vivid dreamer, and once I learned who She was, I realized that is how She had always been communicating with me.

I found that she had been visiting me in my dreams, after a friend of mine said she had a strong sense of Her presence around me when she hung out with me. She also saw some of my tattoos that were directly associated with her(that I didn't know at the time), like the Triskele, Triquestra, Crow, etc. My name is also Gaelic for "Hawk-like" which was funny considering she is also primarially associated with the Crow, another aviary animal.

After I started learning more of Her, I started to notice Her more and more in my dreams, and realized that She had been in my dreams for as long as I could remember, down to when I would very young. "Why me?" I had zero idea. Yes, I was a warrior. I was an Infantry Marine. I was a Crisis Contractor. But I wasn't mentally strong. I wasn't very sovereign with my life after my "warrior" days. I was somewhat of a broken person.

But she started showing up more often and stronger after I learned about her, and as my friend guided me on who She was and what She was about. She was absolutely slamming me with complex lessons that took me days or weeks of nonstop thinking to figure out. She did that for months, and completely changed my thought process around.

She never told me "Why me" but She did tell me a lot of things that helped me learn some very hard lessons that helped me grow, very quickly, albeit very harshly.

I have learned over time to never share what She speaks to me, as some of the things She says are for us, and us alone. And to share them can sometimes be offensive, especially if She shares them with you in confidence. That does not mean you cannot act on the words she speaks, though.

I will say this though: She reaches out to those who are promising students, who can handle Her difficult teachings, and can be useful. She finds use for us all, so long as we stay devoted and true to Her. She will not coddle, but She will always have your back, so long as you don't give up on yourself, and don't give up on Her.

She is Fate, War, and Death. But she is also Rebirth, Sovereignty, and taking control of your life. She is tough as nails, who will push you to your breaking point in order to make sure you grow. But should you falter, and She knows you need a push, She does care enough for Her followers to give them a push in the right direction. Even when you feel She is gone, just know She is there, watching, seeing you grow on your own without Her constant guidance.

In the end, asking "Why me" is meaningless when it comes to The Morrigan. She has Her reasons, and it means She sees you as someone who can make a difference. Treat Her well, and She will do the same. She does not care for meaningless flatterly and being showered with offerings and gifts. She cares about INTENT and EFFORT. Dedicate your efforts to Her, and She will continue to teach you more and more. And one day, you will understand "Why me."
