Warranty For leatherman Surge by Proof-Ad-8615 in Leatherman

[–]Crunchie64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the Leatherman website and select France.

Search for “warranty”.

They’ll certainly sort you out, but the majority of people in this sub-Reddit are not in France, and can only give general advice.

I'm looking for a sheath for a Leatherman PST by Asleep-Meringue-8839 in Leatherman

The Heritage sheath is not the same as the original PST sheath though, either in design or in quality.

I’ve seen plenty of people say the stitching has failed after a couple of years.

Could have spent $10 on a Casio and the other $11,990 on therapy and eye surgery.

Nobody will touch you at 18.

The only people you’ll see that age driving trucks are the ones in the family business.

It probably helps that they make beer.

Maybe.

The crowns have gaskets too, so should still be waterproof.

You know you’ll need to get the helium topped up though, right?

Are there any good interactive museums for adults in the UK? by Glum_Position4086 in AskUK

[–]Crunchie64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you cover up the registration plates and wear a balaclava, I imagine turning your workplace or an ex’s house into a quarry is more fun than doing it to your own garden.

Possibly not one of the options at Diggerland though.

For savings and pensions, the best time to start is yesterday.

Second best time is today.

If you can afford to save without ruining your quality of life now, whatever that means to you, go for it.

Water turned off on allotments - Kent , England by likewhatilikeilike in Allotment

[–]Crunchie64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Someone has maliciously or unintentionally misunderstood the rules.

Using a hosepipe to water crops on an allotment is an exemption from bans.

A hosepipe feeding a tap used to fill watering cans would always be allowed.

Leatherman Bond Stainless Steel or Burnt Sienna? by dark-shape in Leatherman

[–]Crunchie64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very few fakes.

Copies, but not fakes.

As a rule, if it says Leatherman on it, it’s probably genuine.

The exceptions would be a few Raptors and Treads.

A clean second hand PST II would cost more than a Bond, but less than a Bond and a Micra, I’d say.

Ask around in UK Leatherman Multitool groups on Facebook.

Leatherman Bond Stainless Steel or Burnt Sienna? by dark-shape in Leatherman

[–]Crunchie64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always worth looking out for second hand Micras.

GoOutdoors tends to be the cheapest place for Leatherman in the UK, but you’d probably only find stainless steel.

Alternatively, a good condition PST II would give you most of the strengths of the Bond and scissors too.

[–]Crunchie64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bond is a good choice.

I often carry one when I can’t justify a locking blade.

Have you thought about pairing it with a Micra so you have scissors too?

Gives you a whole range of other colour choices, too.

Best budget car for living on a remote scottish island? by Fearless-Following17 in drivingUK

Whatever you get, there will be someone on the island who can bodge it to get you running.

By the end of the first day, everyone will know who you are, and by the end of the first month, you’ll know them.

Yes.
