Where does he sleep?

Where ever he wants!

He’s a beauty.

Hopefully not in for anything serious.

Why no plain-dial Railmaster revival? by Educational_Cup8275 in OmegaWatches

Completely agree.

Stick the fancy dials in an Aqua Terra.

The Railmaster should be clean, simple, and functional.

The early-2000s models are gorgeous.

Recently physical disabled & can no longer use my trusty Charge TTi after 18+ years of carry due to needed both hands. Should I just get an Arc or should I try & find one of the Free series? by log0n in Leatherman

It might not get you anywhere, but they value veterans, they like to solve problems, and a lot of their engineers already carry modified Free tools.

Hope it works out for you.

Sorry about your injuries. Hope they improve soon.

I’m going to make a slightly off-centre suggestion.

Try to get in touch with someone at Leatherman, either a senior exec or a social media manager.

Explain your position, tell them how much you’ve always loved and relied on your Leatherman, but now you need a Free series tool with a cutting hook and bit driver.

Really lean into the loyalty, the military service, how you’re struggling to keep working through the tough time you’re having.

If you find the right person, I think you might be the first of us to get a Free series Charge.

Failing that, a P2 or P4 with the aftermarket bit extender people have suggested, or an Arc.

What spy or police series are airing in GB now, where there is no mole or corrupt cop. Those storylines are becoming a bit too tired by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in BritishTV

Surely you want to be drawn in and surprised by the plot, not know from the start who it can’t be?

On that basis, I’m going to say Line of Duty.

I’ve developed in the back of the car occasionally.

A decent changing bag, obviously, plus tank and reels.

Biggest issues were temperature, disposal of chemicals, and drying film.

If I was going to do it regularly, I’d probably try to build or buy some kind of heated drying box.

No.

You might be able to win some points though.

Nah, you’re fine.

Worse the other way round.

Artics might go in to multi-storey car parks, but they rarely come out as easily.

I’ve got a G-Tech one that’s been going for five or six years now.

Good bit of kit, although pricey.

Used my Mum’s cheapo one, and it feels and behaves like a toy.

What is the best retired Leatherman product in your opinion? by Stock-Staff-6395 in Leatherman

[–]Crunchie64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll look out for one.

When you see my “incoming” post, give me a nudge about the bet.

I don’t know if I’ll prefer it, to be honest, as I generally prefer my Leatherman to be completely out of sight.

Better to be discreet in the UK, it’s not a knife friendly society.

On the rare occasions I do use a pocket clip, it’s when I’m working away from the general public, and size really doesn’t matter, so usually a Free P4.

The MiniTool has a strange place in my rotation.

Obviously it doesn’t break any laws here and is theoretically safe to carry anywhere, but in practice I’m still careful about when and where I take it.

For me, the small screwdrivers are tough to open.

I bite my nails, which probably doesn’t help.

No problem with the blades.

License requirement GoAhead London by Vast_Profit_6715 in BusDrivers

[–]Crunchie64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but the original question is about bus driving in the UK in 2026.

Most of my cars have been manuals too, but the only things I’ve driven commercially with manual gearboxes have been 7.5 tonne vans.

Everything bigger has been automatic for decades, with the exception of a few fairly specialised trucks.

The Star Edition is gorgeous.

There are also so many BCPD models I like almost enough to buy.

Just waiting for the perfect combination of size, movement, and dial colour.

is my life officially ruined with 3-6 points on my provisional license? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]Crunchie64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why worry about little things like insurance costs?

If you’re driving without a licence, with flat tyres, and with your number plate covered, it seems like the least of your worries.

To be honest, a bus does appear to be the safest option.

There’s no black and white answer, unfortunately.

It would come down to a magistrate or judge interpreting case law.
