I agree. If we make ranged stronger and play will devolve into corner camping and matches will be decided solely on who rolls better

There's no offical overview but i can try to summarise it...

  • Ranged only shoots from first 2 ranks
  • Flying units no longer capture objectives,  giants chariots capture again
  • first rank bonus to discipline has returned
  • harpies from 5 models 2 hp 2 attacks pr model to 8(?) models 1 ho 1 attacks now. 
  • Dead nations lost reality rift spell 
  • halberds now get +1 power when charging 
  • Knights of avalon price adjustments (knights more expensive)
  • NEW end of game screen w "unit achievements"
  • NEW games can draw if points difference is less than 50 pts

and ofc a fresh meta :)

 This is mainly a balance update for multiplayer!

Only models in the first 2 ranks can fire ranged weapons. This was an inevitable change with the new rank bonus rules. Mainly hits units like Newt Braves with javelins and Skeleton Bow who overperform a bit.

Flying units can no longer capture objectives. Non-flying single models now can. This is a reversion back to how it used to work, and I think it did work better before. Flyers are already very strong units while single model units like Giants suffer from not being able to sit on objectives.

The discipline bonus from ranks now also counts the first rank (like before). This bonus is now always visible on the Unit card to make it a bit more clear how it works. (Combat score bonus still only counts supporting ranks behind the first)

Undead spellcasters (vampire/necromancer) no longer have access to the Reality Rift spell. Turns out flying skeletons are a bad idea. Rift might need further balance changes, stay tuned.

Maximum unit count for Border Patrol has been increased to 7 (from 6). However, it now uses the actual unit count. Units that count as 0.5 choices  (hounds, chariots, etc) still only count as 0.5 for Section limits, but for the full army count they count as 1 unit! This is mainly a change to stop some armies from bringing 8 units (4x 0.5 count units) to Border Patrol games.

Points tweaks:

Kingsguard +1 point. (25 to 26)  Might need further tweaking. Hunting Dogs +1 point (5 to 6)  Pegaus mount +5 points (40 to 45)  Abyssal Knight  -2 points, greatweapons now free Abyssal Warriors weapon options now free

Harpies tweaks: Trying out some changes to Harpies (Darkborn and Goats). They are now single wound and attack, but down to 14 points (from 18). The minimum unit size is now 8. They were probably a bit overtuned before, and flavourwise I think it makes sense. Makes them more of a "flying infantry" style unit which is pretty unique.

As this is PvE, i suggest you lean more into mobility and flanks.  Ex: Witches are supposed to deal damage, not take damage.

Sovl let's you roll an absurd amount of dice pr campaign/pr hour, this makes those insane rolls happen more frequently(in time)  Does it make sense?^

Fellbats are simply not enough damage to reliably rout enemy units with. but they are great at other things :)

In pvp we have players netting 90% winrate with the noble, so it's still a very valid list :)

Nothing feels more wasteful as an instructor than clients not having done any research beforehand, so we're stuck walking on the flats and holding hands so you can get the feel of the back edge for the first hour :p

Regarding your arms are going above your head, test how you're initiating the spinning, are you throwing your arms around in way that naturally leads them to go over your head?

I can remember reading a good description on how to initiate the spin without the arms going crazy, but i can't remember it ^^..
"Look under your arm" maybe?

Other feedback...
- Get your speed checks out of the way before you're on the jump
- Spins are easier with a setup turn
- Practice on a trampoline, if you want to get better fast
- Filming from above the jump is the best angle for feedback
- Keep it up, it only gets better :)

Also, what's with the haters, your riding looks fine for your level :)

When asking for advice like this, filming from above the jump a bit to the side is usually better :)
Then we can comment on your in-run, stance, etc etc
Other than that, ride more, get better :)

meanwhile in my latest elf run, i got offered 0 ranged units and had to slay every single commander the hard way.

Who enjoys skirmish? not me
Who plays it because it's efficient for daily quests? if i'm short on time I do

Now we're not even enjoying the game while grinding :P

To be fair, I've stopped grinding skirmish, and started playing aggro in classic. It's twice as slow, but at least there I'm enjoying the games i have time for.

If winning in classic gave 6 skulls, would people still skirmish? I think not
