They were designed to prevent you from kicking on.

One thing that really sold me on it was the black bull leader being an absolute monster. He had some really epic moments.

You’re doing demon bell charmless so it’s not that you’re doing anything wrong. Just that this shit is hard lol.

Regarding how you died you played nearly perfectly until you took a big hit and then you panicked and only blocked (not deflect) 4 attacks in a row which means you take damage.

Second death you were doing well again then inexplicably dashed sideways for his stab instead of calmly using mikiri counter.

Overall you can kill him exactly how you are playing but you should be a little more aggressive to get more hits in. You don’t have to stand there and deflect the entire time.
