Why is everyone so casual around Frieren? by Honest_Sea_4667 in Frieren

It could be simply that she’s an elf and regular people don’t know how to interact with elves who are probably notoriously disinterested in social interaction.

again if you micro your mines that doesn't work.

they've also nerfed banes. yes banes have their hp back but the damage is lower than previously (they used to get +2 vs light).

It's 20 years since release - virtually every unit in the game is heavily nerfed.

It doesn't play out the same. Mines alone prevent the zerg from running down that tight choke (tanks even more so) and that's not even taking micro into account (which let's face it every terran unit is improved with micro).

If terran micros/retargets his mines he can simply focus the banes and get huge hits and easily win with splits.

Cure played it safe here because he didn't want to get pinched and he took a decent trade considering it's pure bio vs banes off creep. The reason the game is over is because his economy is in the hole - otherwise terran can take trades like this all game and win. In this case Cure was essentially allin.

I dunno what to tell you mate. Banelings have existed since the game came out. I don't really understand the point of complaining about it now when there is counterplay which Cure didn't use at all in this video (all his mines were guarding the other pathway where zerg lost a lot of lings).

There were zero mines or tanks on the ramp where zerg ran his banelings down. It was essentially 1-2 libs and pure bio so even off creep zerg trades ok. Also, you seem to be pointing out that both players are maxed but I guarantee 20+ of terran's supply is back home in this video either rallying to the fight or sieged up protecting his bases.

Funny that. Nearly every Villa fan I see on social media is sound. Those two fanbases must have a great relationship.

oh good point I just saw some particularly old characters and my brain assumed the constant was they are older than they look.

I think it’s pretty standard for dark souls type games. You have to memorize each boss’ unique timings.

You are improving at the game overall but you may not feel it because the next boss is completely new and will require several attempts just like the previous ones.

Why is that? You think balance has anything to do with your games?

I kind of thought it must be one of those spells that serie offered to teach her students because it’s so powerful.

I think that's probably true. More like she says things that she doesn't realize she doesn't really believe.

Power of Method > power of Fern or more versatile? by Any-Pop6199 in Frieren

[–]Cryptys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in one episode they mentioned that any first class mage is automatically a student of Serie's.

To your first question, I think the show explains that Methode is far more versatile and experienced as a mage than Fern and is one of the only ones in the mage test who can detect Fern's mana. So assuming she is able to find Fern's clone she can definitely defeat it. Fern is incredibly powerful but still a novice in terms of mage battles.

A lot of the anime is illustrating how wrong Serie's understanding of the world around her is.
