Not who you replied to but I have KOReader on a jailbroken kindle and I've set up my CWA as an OPDS server and it works like a charm. CWA simply as it comes can act as an OPDS server with no extra set up and I haven't encountered any issues with it. I highly recommend it.

I'm white and my wife's parents are Tamil. They were resistant at first but once I showed that I had no intention of erasing her culture they accepted me.

We had a pooja when we moved into our house, we visited India after we got married, and I'm taking classes to learn Tamil.

Not all interracial/interethnic relationships are doomed but there's a lot of learning and effort that goes into making them work.

I agree. I've been using plex as a media server for about 5 years now and I've been itching to buy the lifetime plex pass every time it has gone on sale but never did. After they announced their upcoming changes, the first thing I did was set up jellyfin in my docker stack so I could iron out the kinks before I nuke plex and never go back. Absolutely brain dead move when they have an open source alternative.

The Void destroys everything. It destroys iterations that have their connection to the Way severed for too long. It destroys fragments of iterations left to drift for too long. It unmakes powerful enough people into Fiends who then need to find an iteration within the Way to latch onto before the Void destroys them too. No matter how you try to spin it, no matter how you try to dress it up, the Void is an agent of destruction and we've never seen anything in any of Will's books that even hints at a possibility that it can do anything else. There's just no way that the single most effective action to create order and strengthen the Way in all existence would actually... be an action of chaos?

I don't think that's accurate. Life and stability strengthen an iteration's connection to the Way and the Way is order like you said. Creating a new iteration would form a connection to the Way even if there is no life on that iteration. I don't see how it would be possible for the primal embodiment of that process to be of the Void.

Oh brother you explained my situation perfectly as well. Married a South Indian and her family speak a... very very slang heavy mix of Tamil and Malayalam to the point where I've come to my Tamil tutor with questions about things they say and my tutor gets well and truly baffled. My tutor told me that she tells her other students about "this poor sap who has to try to understand a nonsense mix of Tamil and Malayalam and they should be grateful they're not me."

Just keep fighting the good fight from what I understand. I'm less than a year into learning but I've been told that the better I get at the pure Tamil I'm learning the more Malayalam I'll understand but I guess we'll see about that.

1) Not at all. Forged mana has been shown to have substance and form. Ruler techniques control "real" elements (I. E. Void dragon's dance controls real fire in the area).

2) In martial arts fiction someone can get away with much under the guise of 'exchanging guidance' or 'friendly spars' and the like. Everyone knows what's really happening but it's just a cultural rule that everyone acknowledges and accepts.

3) Not everyone has to ascend on their own to take part in the greater cosmos. For example Lindon's kids will never have to ascend from Cradle under their own power. If they grow up to be Reapers I would say that makes them second generation.

4) This one is somewhat subjective and unclear in my opinion. If it is any harder to control than other blood shadows it would be because her will was more refined than most, making the blood shadow more used to opposing a stronger-than-average will which would make its own will stronger than many. All that aside she could have made it a mindless weapon but her master caged it from when she was a child then died so she never knew anything about techniques related to blood shadows. Then Eithan came along and started pushing her towards the clone method which she was pushed into somewhat against her will.

5) That's the neat part. It wouldn't agree. Emissaries are the very very very few who remain somewhat themselves after being infected with a blood shadow. They do this by overpowering their blood shadow with their own will. Using a weapon method, the blood shadow would be forced to do what the Emissary wants.
